Hey there guys
I recently received my Eurosport and starting to get here together
Just looking for one or two little tricks with a couple of things.
With the aileron servo mounts I cant seem to get them in the right place with the servo on the front side. Id either have to cut the slot bigger or another idea might be to mount the servo on the back side of the mount?
Or take a chunk out of the back of the mount but not sure Id want to cut much off.
Photos might make more sense but cant post them until I've done 10 posts!
Cheers
George

The mounts in my kit were missing for some reason. Rather than wait or make my own I used the Seacraft aluminium blue side mounts and just bolted them through. Either way you will have to remove some material from the mount on one side to clear the wing skin as it’s very tight. The V1 manual explains this in more detail so worth finding for reference.

Hey Mick
Good idea to use some other ones. The ones supplied seem slightly big for the servo hatch but you're right that trimmed will be required either way on the mount and possibly the lip on the wing.
Will try track down the V1 manual
Thanks

The frame lip did need trimming a little to suit the mount.
Don’t use the original manual throws when setting up, they are way too much. The 16mm up/down on Aileron is ok but plenty of expo on roll as it’s very powerful. After a few test flights I am at the below settings with the Cortex on. Still plenty to tweak though as all flights this week were in gusty conditions.
Elevator 30mm 25% Exp
Aileron Up 16mm 50% Exp
Aileron Down 19mm 50% Exp
Aileron Stick Priority 18
Gain 36%

Thanks Mick
Going to have a Powerbox 3xtra gyro in it but will definitely go for throws similar to yours.
Also are you using any sort of flight mode mix with the canards for landing or no? Ive seen a few people that have and a few that dont

No problem George
The canards are always active and set 10mm trailing edge down on flight mode trim for takeoff and landing. Just lifts the nose to a nice angle of attack. Trailing edge is just above the panel line at neutral, cg at 550.

Hey Mick
Sorry for all the questions haha.
I just see you're using the electron landing gear and wondering what steering system you're using if you're using the wire method or any other servo plate etc.
Cheers

It’s fine George, know what it’s like hunting for the best solution.
Used a cranked pushrod, clevis on retract tiller and ball end on long servo arm. The servo is mounted on a plywood plate in the space between fuselage and front gear structure. Glued the homemade plate in with hysol and had to dremel the fuselage a little to clear the tiller arm radius. Not with the model so can’t send photos but it should be clear when you look at how the front retract sits. Button head screws allow the pushrod to clear without binding.

Thanks Mick
Yeah trying to do a little bit of problem solving now so then I can order parts as soon as possibly if necessary.
Currently been waiting 4 weeks for batteries, gyro and a few things so will get there.

Hi Guys,
I'm considering a CARF Eurosport, which I want to fly 3D. It has a single pipe already, so i'll have to add the vector.
Any suggestion for minimal turbine for 3D? i do have handy Merlin 166, will it be strong enough? next option is Merlin 200, but that I'll have to buy.
Please advise.

Great afternoon with the new Eurosport. Getting it dialled in for tumbles, flips and flat spins now after a good few flights. Cortex scheme looks stunning in the summer sky. P160 Rxib is more than enough for everything I want to do except hover.

First of two Union scheme Eurosport Ultimates coming to my local club. This one Electron gear. JetCat P-160Rxi-B, Powerbox Core and Mercury with Macgregor servos all around.
