Looking to get another Tx, which is the better system? I'm currently favouring the Jeti from what I have seen.
Anyone have experience of both systems?
Rob.

It's a question I have been considering too Rob, with the weatronic BAT60 added to the mix.
Hopefully Johnmac will spot your thread as he has both so is best placed to help you.
I have handled both and looked into the software capabilities and decided, rather sadly, that the new Mpx Profi just is not good enough. It falls far short of the 4000. It is a Royal pumped up a little bit. Even Mike Shellim a great Mpx supporter has decided against it and gone to frsky instead. My feeling is that the profi doesn't justify its price tag.
The Jeti is looking v good. It feels good in the hand (I am a thumbs on top of stick flier) and my objection to the trim buttons is overcome now they are sculpted - the very early DC that I tried had smooth buttons. Jeti has a very full range of airborne items and is regularly adding new and very useful items such as fuel flow sensor and the new 400 servo/power distribution box to handle more than 16 servoswhich mpx can not do.

Harry Is quite right, I hedged my bets and got both. I have decided to dedicate the Multiplex to my very large fleet of gliders and electric gliders. The Jeti will be the weapon of choice for the Jets.
Having flown both, for the the ergonomics of the Multiplex has the edge. The sticks are fabulous. For me the fact that you can have switches in so many different places ensures that even with gloved fingers (on British slopes in winter these are de rigueur) I can reach every switch and slider with ease. The Jeti is good from this perspective, but not quite as good, although with the planned rearrangement of switch positions this will improve.
The Jeti trims are still not to my liking (but somehow better than the old MPX REP) but the auto trim is fabulous. The displays on both are good, although the planned upgrades that MPX have in the pipeline will provide the ultimate in user adaptability.
I range checked the Jeti on Sunday and got the same superb range as the MPX have always given. Both best in class.
When it comes to the software, the MPX is easier to set up but less familiar. As a 4000 user you will find the Jeti makes you feel right at home. The Jeti is way more capable than the MPX at this moment in time.
TBH, there is not much in it. I set my ES up on the MPX first and then on the Jeti. It was slightly easier on the MPX. BUT, when it comes to comes to programming the much more complex F14, the Jeti will take the honours by a furlong. MPX may well catch up with software updates, but I think it will take some time.

I think you are wrong I have the new Profi Tx now for the last couple of month and I must say I love it it balances very well on the neck strap and the sticks are the best I have ever touched all in all I find it very easy to operate , have used the MC 4000 since it came out it is a great piece of kit put the Profi TX I find very straight forward maybe a bit Royal pro but way more advanced in my opinion I can only recommend it, as for M-Link I don't think I have say anything just rock solid

Rob, I've had a DS16 for a couple of weeks now and I really like it.
I have however had a couple of compatibility problems with my Powerboxes. On my Cockpit SRS I had to roll back the rx firmware and on my Competition SRS I had to update the box firmware.
All sorted now but a bloody nuisance working it all out, thank goodness Richard at Powerbox responds so efficiently.
This is now all sorted and only happens because Jeti are constantly bringing out new tricks which of course is a good thing.
I feel my confidence is back now after some bad experiences with my DX18 and I'm not the only one migrating to Jeti.
Gary.

Thanks for the replies, John was kind enough to spend some time talking me through the options, representing both Jeti and Mpx as a fellow long time MC4000 owner he knows exactly where I am coming from.
So it's looking like Jeti is where all the smart money is going.

It's good to try new things too. The all metal Jeti provides an insane quality feeling which I miss from my old PCM 10X back in the days. Jeti seems to gain popularity so switching ti another brand later on might not be that costly. Well, it always costs but selling popular stuff usually is easier

My Feedback: (3)
I considered the MPX Profi, Futaba 18MZ and the Jeti DC-16 to replace my Multiplex.
i have been very happy with the Jeti DC-16 system, all the new devices they are bringing to market and the combined support from the dealer, Jeti and web forums.
i don't have any regrets with the decision to go with Jeti.

If somebody would like to see the Jeti Radios as well as full line of receivers, sensors.... stop by at the Florida Jets.
Guys will have all the toys on display.

Which is what, Poor's man fuel gauge? Jeti has real Data, fuel flow or V/A/Capacity MUI sensors.

I agree and I would vote for more products in the Mezon range to solve the timer issues
Larger and smaller.BTW, for an EDF project... how high can a Mezon ESC rev a Mega 16/50/X??(6pole I think) I need 70krpm or so.

For the USA it is a moot point........Hitec Inc. has made Multiplex a dead issue here. Unless one imports a Multiplex "grey market".....
i just retired my old MPX Royal Evo (with Weatronics module) and went Jeti DS-16, no comparison.

.Don't forget that the Royal Evo/PRO has been around for about 13 years and in terms of functionality and performance is still right up there with the others. 2.4, telemetry, setting the bar for programming flexibility etc!
I've never paid for an upgrade / update except to get 2.4gHz and that was a lot cheaper than buying a new radio and for a 13 year old radio, it is pretty darn good when compared to equivalent sets. Not sure how many other radios of that vintage are around in numbers.
Presumably the Profi will have a similar lifespan and it is a pity that folks in the USA will not get to enjoy it.

A quick mobile clip of the new Jeti playing with the new TJ20 for the first time today, awesome set up!
The pick up on the turbine is incredibly quick!

This is what I call Czech mates!
p.s. Even the EDT's cool!

Just out of curiosity, by variable timer, do you mean it's duration actually varies proportionally based on throttle position or simply that it starts/stops based on throttle position? I've always found that having the timer stop when the throttle is fully closed works reasonably well for electrics. Or am I missing the point?
