Default Feibao Mirage 2000 slats effectiveness

Hi folks,

I just began assembling a nice Mirage 2000 from Feibao Jets.

As opposed to the old version it features airex lightened fuselage and operating slats.

I would like to know if anyone here is flying the same plane or has done it, I would appreciate any input regarding inflight handling characteristics and especially slats effectiveness.

I know slats are supposed to improve high angle of attack flight, thus helping landing but I am not sure if installing them is worth it.

Best Regards and happy landings to everyone!

Killer jet Hoser!! The slats would be worth it to me just for the scale aesthetics alone!

We could talk about slats on full size planes all day and how they are super effective on them... but RC planes do tend to have limited slat extension and geometry (compared to the full size planes) due to material strength, servo power and a few other things to do with geometry and design/build tolerances. But I'd be interested to hear how much they help out too in this model also.

Ed definitely cool factor to having them and the speed brakes operational, but i agree they don't come down as much as the scale ones do and the way the operate with 2 servos pushing them out concerns me about jamming or binding in flight with wind pressure. when i get to the install if i can get them to work smoothly i may try at altitude. but most like like they will be for show as deltas are normally good at high alpha maneuvers even without them.

trial fitting turbine and pipe. FYI decided to try hi-flow air valves by JMP.... and boy what an increase of power on the mains up, i highly recommend if using standard valves.

Robart is for air brakes and electronic is for wheel brakes
