Carf - Models J-10 build thread
#226
I notice the Thrust Vector nozzle sits sticks out past the tail-cone.Mine is tucked away inside standard build. Is there some mod made to this one to have it extend past the tailcone. I have had to tame the TV nozzle down because it would burn the end of the tailcone.

I'm using a Cortex demon pro with jeti CB200. My gains are still a work in progress but right now I'm around 38 for normal mode and 42% for hold mode. I might increase the hold mode gain some more, not sure if I want to increase normal any more, need a calm wind day to test some more. I think I was one of the few using the Cortex pro in this, so everything for me has been experimenting. I had no ones other numbers to go off of.

I have been watching you tube footage of this model. Appears some pilots land with canards disengaged and others land with canards engaged (maybe lower rate). As I am programming mine now would like to get others experience with regards to canards and landing.
Thanks

Andy, thanks that makes sense. Would you mind sharing your high and low rate canard throws and whether you measure them from leading or trailing edge of the canard
Thanks

Hi Folks,
Going through test flights / setup, trying to come up with heading / heading hold values. Although this is not a CARF version, it is exactly the same size. The iGyro 3e has heading (Range A) set to at present to 40% and experienced oscillations. Heading hold (Range B) is set to100% for 3D...
I'm curious what folks are setting theirs at for heading (Range A).
Many thanks.
p.s. Given the black paint job / honeycomb / Airex airframe I needed to make a cover. I ended up using an awesome / stretchy material that acts as a great sunshade. I made a few for friends and have one extra in the color your see, if anyone is interested;
