Default A fighter jet for VT80

Greets all.
I recently got my first turbine . It was so good offer that I just had to buy it and now I'm looking for nice home for it.

I have flown electrics for 10 years for now and the latest jet is skymaster f-15 120mm EDF version.

Basically I could stuff the vt80 into it but it flies good enough and its smallish.
I have given thought for 1/8 F-16, some 1/9 rafale ( christen diffusion $$$$$) and grumania eurofighter. Do you people here have any other good canditates?

Fly Eagle Jet has gained notorious reputation here so their planeset is out of the question. How about JL 1/8 f-16 vs skymaster?

All input is welcomed!

Hi I did flown the skymaster gripen with the vt-80 and it's fine and fast and now I'm building the skymaster mig-29 with twine vt-80's for power and the biggest think with the turbine was Byron f-15 and was just ok scary and draggy ,I think the gripen will give you the speed and good performance with light setup and two fuel tanks will fly for 8 minutes .

The Jetlegend Viperjet flies well with a VT80.

Thanks for the input. I will have to think this through with time. Grumania eurofighter looks the best candidate so far.

The Avonds F-104 flies very well with a light 80N turbine.

Skymaster F-16 is a very tough and reliable model, flies great on 80N, but it could use a little bit more. (I fly mine on a VT90, could use more power for shorter takeoffs).
Jet Legend is lighter and altogether a better kit, but not as robust as Skymaster, and flies awesome on a VT80.

I have an Avonds F-104, goes very well with an 80.
I also have the Grumania 1/10 Eurofighter, goes well on a 70 but am going to replace it with an 80 for a bit more vertical punch from low speeds. The Grumania 1/10 Eurofighter is great fun to fly.

So a VT90 should be good for an Avonds 104 right? I want one.

It goes very well with an 80, I am making a new one with a 100 just to help it go a bit faster.......................!
I have seen it with even bigger heavier engines.
Surprisingly good handling and well mannered model, orientation is the difficult bit.

Then you should get one. No surprises with this plane except as Harry said.. The orientation can be a bit tricky at times. Mine is in Luftwaffe colors so I learned only to fly it when the sun is at my back. You would be very surprised that the plane with its tiny wings feels like it has an 8' ws. The sink rate is a bit more as can be expected as the wings are small.. but nothing to worry about. I land with 1/3 throttle and raised nose.

Pitty your not closer as mine is for sale. Havnt finished the paint yet though

Nice 104 Vettster, but after seeing this kit in a box, and drooling over the quality.......I have to build one! :-)

I have to find a way to avoid the europe shipping charges though!

Now still flying with first Merlin90 sold in France (2007).

How slow can you make the mirage on landing? I got a VT80 in a Falcon 120 and this would be a nice new home. I got only 80 meters to land it though. Works with the Falcon.

the Mirage slow very well on landing , im alway making a shallow approach , when Im happy with the high... go idle and lift the nose until I touch down ( not much to slow not good) ..Im flying from grass and the 80 is marginal on take off , next year or before I will use 85 or my choice a Xicoy 90 for the size and gaz consomption .
JP Hobby have a new nose pin in better steel. The old one after few take off ..the pin stat bending ....
