Yes, you would need to contact Tam and let him know which pipe you have and he will send you the proper length. I'm getting my F-16 setup in the mail tomorrow or Friday. Yes indeed, you can rig one up with McMaster Carr but honestly, I don't have the time right now...I need more "just take it out the box, push it through, make a small bend and connect the smoke lines" with all my travel schedule. Plus, I like supporting Tam to be honest.

Nice landing ! Looked like it landed fairly slowly, with nose coming up perfectly.

Hello to all F-16 1/5 pilots,
I start now to build a F-16 and I am wondering which is the "best" CG for that model. The manual says between 250 - 280mm from the leading edge. But what is best practically one?
Thanks for your informations in advance
Philip

It's been a few years for mine but I think I remember flying mine at 280-290mm with landing fuel in tanks. I was at 250mm with full fuel and smoke oil before I made custom smoke tanks seen in this thread above, and it required excess speed on take off and was hard to rotate. I would suggest working toward 280 for best results.

Hi Philip,
I just reviewed some of my posts from 2016-2017 Post #380 and forward and saw several references to 285-286mm. That's about what I remember. I'd recommend starting between 280-285mm and then adjust to your taste and style from there.
Good luck, post photos of your project!

Hello
can someone kindly recommend best deflections for the surfaces?
normal flight, how much elevator, tailron, and flapron?
for take off?
For landing?

Manual says 100mm for tailron? That sounds excessive.
please let me know..
Thanks
