Cool, so you have a lot of time left on the packs depending on how far or low you want to push the packs.
I wonder what the top speed could be with your set up?

I don't really understand why top speed matters? If it flies around scale like who cares? It looked to fly at the right speed to me....... Only with EDF are people concerned with speed but why? Its a scale plane not a sport plane. Its a good job Ron!

+1. Agree 100%.
for some reason EDF seems to motivate guys to really need to know data. Speed, thrust, etc etc. just fly the plane and enjoy it.

Because we are techy Nerds!

While speed does not matter to me, I like to know what the power system is doing, in terms of efficiency. Now you dino burners have so much excess power, so you don't concern yourselves with such trivial information.

Wow, really?
EDF is all about statistics, efficiency and performance. As for the top speed like I said I was wondering not as if it's the end all be all deal breaker on this project or whatever. It's a great modeling achievement regardless but there are interesting metrics associated that inspire and guide others. I've worked in all aspects of power systems from design to testing on land sea and air models so this info is of particular interest to me and a basis of comparison.
Now, before you jump on a guy for asking a "simple" question or better yet wonder what something could be why don't you just sit back and watch the conversation unfold.

Ill add that if your flying high power RC anything and you don't know the numbers your set up produces then it's just a matter of time before you have an accident. These systems are no joke and have all the potential to cause a lot of damage.

Thanks guys!
I was really laid back on the throttle.... so I'm very curious to do a full power fast pass, I have a feeling it's going to be a burner for it's size.
I'll aim for a burner pass on the next outing

Would you mind sharing control throws, cg, flap setting? I'm getting closer to maiden on mine. No bells and whistles on mine. Single k180. Should be under 38lbs.
yours looked and sounded awesome. Congrats!
