Fourth Annual VIRGINIA JETS JUNE 5-6-7 2015 Twin County Airport Hillsville, VA
As everybody gets ready for summer and the flying season, If you've never been to the Blue Ridge Mountains along the NC/ VA border, this may be your year for one of the best kept secrets in the jet community... Virginia Jets. It just keeps getting better and better. Easily considered " Laid back and lots of fun " So if you're looking for a easy going place to fly your 1st or your 100th jet meet. Come up and see us . Straight off Interstate 77 at Exit 14, Hillsville is about 100 miles north of Charlotte NC. About the same distance from Bristol, Tennessee up Highway 81. Plenty of Hotels within 2 miles of the field. Shopping and food close by ,too. But we'll have onsite vending . Over night hanger storage for planes. Jet A on site and swipe at the pump convenience. Kero close by at the high way. You're welcome to camp as well. Planning on BBQ dinner on Saturday night.. Just come and fly.. Nothing fancy to win. Come with your plane. Leave with a bunch of new friends.

Hope you guys have a great time, with my wifes passing earlier this month I will not be able to make it this year since we are having a celibration of her life that weekend so we didnt rush people making plans..

Thanks guys, for those that knew or met Janice at an event she loved this hobby we share. She embraced it with me and went to the TOC back in 98 when we first met and to at least one event every year since. She saw me at my best as Steve Stricker's crew chief, and wanted me to go to FL. jets with him this year but she just got to ill for me to leave her alone and enjoy myself away. "Rejoice in life and go live it. dont sit around and cry about me" she told me near the end. Its time for me to enjoy my spare time away from work and wil be doing so with a lot of you at FIF in a few weeks. I wished we had other options for her services as the MD gang really wanted to be ther this year; but its the only weekend I have open for a while that I can get a space large enoguh to hold it in since we just dont have enough parking or handicapped accessabilty at my home.

For any wishing to rent tents....We are using Cooke Rentals in MT Airy ,NC 336-789-5068 ask for BEN....They will be setting us on the 4th....Any Early birds.. we'll probably be hopping a few birds that afternoon..FYI
I hunted down the folks that did our BBQ last year....Looks like they are a go again.....There will be limited number of wheel chairs available to return pilots back to their pits after eating
dinner.

Reminder..If you are considering ordering a tent for our event...Cooke Rentals in MT Airy NC is supplier with AREA 52 funding the delivery up the mountain Ask for Ben ....

Hotel booked! Fuel tank on Viper Fixed. New batteries for Reaction arriving in Tuesday. Rental tent reserved!
Cant wait to hang out at a GREAT jet event and burn a lot of fuel with great friends. Oh,,,, and let Bill run all over the place doing the work needed!!! lolol
