The installation doesn‘t look nice, but it is very light and I don‘t use any lead for balancing. Now I‘m building the Skymaster 1/5 F-16. On that plane I have no trouble with the 25 kg limit. But with the SM F-14, that will be built after F-16...
And as you can see on the following video, my homebase isn‘t really perfect for jets. Especially the fence:

I just completed the maiden on my Skymaster F18. Incredible machine. Thank you Anton and Skymaster for producing such a nice, accurate replica of the F18. Thank you also to the guys who’ve shared their issues and settings to make it easier for guys like me.

No way to do that. It can make under 55 dry but not wet.

Can we get some pictures of the engines install.
Heading to Florida Jets again this year and hoping to see one of these fly.
Nobody had one last year regular or Superhornet. Only the BVMs F18 was flying.

Thanks, Tom

Hello Matt,

mine is under 55 pounds wet with a 250 Newton Frank Turbine FT-250. I used a fuel cell from fuelbag.de
I think my kit quite heavy. If you ask Anton to produce a light one, it‘s easy to end under 55 pounds wet. Last year we bought 3 light weight 1/5 F-16‘s from Anton. His guys made a very good job 👍👍👍 On my F-18 the stabilizers are bit heavy. The fuselage is strong and light weight. The wings are very heavy and (I think so) to strong.

Default G3 Kit issues

Hi F-18 owners.

I received a G3 kit of the F-18 C recently and I was wondering if anyone who built a newer version of the jet could share some issues or suggestions on the build. So far it looks like some of the previous concerns have been adressed by Skymaster. I was a bit alarmed by some posts describing issues with the flap angles. They seem to be corrected now, Can anyone confirm this?

How important is it to setup the thrust angles of the two turbines (mid fuse mounted)?

I had some parts missing in my kit, but skymaster delivered them within 2 weeks.

Thanks for your input!
