Subscribed. Hopefully it doesn't have the same issues with glue and plywood that the Navy Cat has.

On the retracts you need to drill and tap the mounts this mounts are G10 fiber plates so i bought a tap set in harbor freight to do this you will need a 4m .7 pitch tap also you will need to do a small notch in the plate so the air line can go in when installing the retract i made this notch 7/8 inch from former

This plane interested me. I look forward to your build and review. One thing that turned me off is they are asking a premium price and with no track record or much info out there for this plane I didn't want to be a beta tester. I have a Navy Cat and am pleased with it but it is a value plane that meets expectations. If this is the same gear as what is in the Navy Cat then they are asking about $2,500 for the airframe. That is CARF price range. It may turn out to be worth it but their quality and longevity of the airframe had better be pretty high.

Friend has one of these, very heavy wings and stab, usual fly model quality with a huge price tag to match!

I have the carbon V2 version. The landing gear blocks in the wings aren't glued in well and the plywood used for the formers is weak. I had an off-runway landing into soft grass; it tore out the landing gear blocks in the starboard wing as well as the fuselage, destroying the former 2nd from the front (I cut my own from higher quality plywood and laminated carbon into it). I replaced the blocks in the starboard wing with maple and reinforced the port wing block glue joints with epoxy and a little micro-balloons.

The plane flies great, they just use cheap glue and wood; pretty typical for inexpensive Chinese ARFs.

I have had one other off runway landing since doing the repair/reinforcement work with zero problems.

Well i brought the Futura wings and stabs from storage to weight those and I don't agree with you regarding the tail the Futura elevator weight 7.1 oz no servo or linkage the one from the Big Head is 9.3 Oz ready to fly so they weight about the same and the futura is a high quality plane on the wings there about 6 oz difference in weight the Big Head wing weight 2.3 pound empty and the futura is 1.13 pound

Yes, I've read all your posts and there's something wrong with your measurements or your math.

Oh okay, but 1.13 pounds is not 29 oz., but 18.08 oz.; and 2.3 pounds is not 35 oz., but 36.8 oz.

We were taking your numbers in the proper context instead of your misinterpreted context, forgive us for not seeing your error!

George already mentioned your context was flawed. The thing is that some scales do measure in decimal pounds, which can lead to confusion. If you have a scale that reads in decimal pounds then your math is wrong. If your math is correct, then the way you originally presented your measurements is wrong. This is where metric has an advantage.
