What are the typical settings for flight modes? I am using a Spektrum type system with flap switch as my flight mode as the enabling function. For example like takeoff, flight and landing. What are you experts settings look like? I have a cortex gyro also. Would appreciate the help.

thanks,
Al

What do you need when you say settings? Throws? Or Expo? Or?

I did the maiden on mine yesterday (I have approx 70 flights on the mini as well). Im using the recommended throws except for the rudder where I put in as much as I could get. 35% Expo on Ail and Elev and 45% on Rudder.

Im used to flying giant scale 3D so these throws/expo feel pretty squishy to me lol.

CGd at 255 and it still feels a smidge nose heavy I should have shot for 260. Ill put a few more flights before I move anything.

Yes. Like for take off I am assuming you would need more throws then in flight mode and for landings?

I don't use rates, but you could if you wanted, I fly the plane with the recommended throws the whole flight. You might want to reduce rates when you're in the flaps up flight mode, it's mostly personal preference for that type of stuff.

I used only one rate for all, with some expo...enough that I can turn the gyro off and fly the plane comfortably.....also only one rate for the gyro....

Performed 3 flights today with the baseline Dirk recommended settings. Absolutely perfect flying jet! Everything worked perfectly. Really happy I purchased this jet. Cortex gyro operated perfectly and my JetCat P-120 Kerostart perfect match!

I was finally able to get a few flights (7) on mine yesterday and the day before, it flys very nice. It rolls better than the mini due to not having the live (skin) hinges that the mini had on the ailerons, the T1 is much more axial. It lands way slower and the flaps are much more effective, at full flap it's like an air-brake. I must say the lights are killer, you can see them in the daylight, and the strobes on the wingtips look great, the lights have got a ton of compliments. I think I have 8w unilites on the tail, strobe and beacon, the two nav lights on the wingtips are 4w, I think if I was to do it again I'd try to get 8w nav lights as well, just a little brighter. I'm also super happy with the electron gear and controller. I have the brakes setup on a slider and the braking is straight and smooth. Much less stressful than the JP brakes and controller I had on the mini. I haven't tried the smoke system yet but looking forward to that on the next trip to the field.

Congrats man.

Sounds dialed in. If you get a chance to measure your throws and could post them it would be great since you have T1 experience with the mini.

Thanks guys!

I'm running the recommended throws except for rudder which I have all that I can get out of it.
Elevator and Ailerons 25mm U/D.
Rudder Full/Full
Flaps TO 49mm LND 98mm

Raven, the lights that I have in the wingtips are really small, you could easily add them, they come with their own lens cover as well. To be honest they might actually show up better without being in the slots anyway.
The round heatsink is 7mm so you can see the light assembly is just a little bigger.
UniLight 6Wx2 Dual Light 7mm, Red/White (dreamworksrc.com)

For us way up North, I figure we still have 100 days to go. Our field normally opens the middle of May with a normal snow year.
Seems like we have more snow this year so far, and March is our snowiest month of winter!

The previous 2 weekends we were out flying in shorts and t-shirts in Jan/Feb in Nor-CAL. The weather has been perfect but we will pay for it in the summer. Another drought year with another dry winter, another 1/3 of the state will burn down again this summer.

That stinks but I know it, my sister lives in Granite Bay.... I am in Colorado and things actually seem "OK" for now and I hope we don't get the fires of last year.

Not to mention your government dumps every drop of water into the ocean because of a 2 inch fish.

Been amazing up here too.

On the flaps, what is the MM from the aileron to the flap? I am assuming the 98mm is on the fuse side? Or anyone that has in the 95-98mm range what it is at the aileron to flap? THANKS!

Got a few more flights in today on an incredible, absolutely perfect weather day.. upper 60's clear blue sky and like 3mph variable winds.. Gotta enjoy it now before the 100 degree summer days are here.

Flew with smoke today for the first time ever on any plane. Worked great with no issues, I setup a pulsing program on my transmitter and that worked as I had hoped. I'm currently pulsing one second on and one second off, I think on the next trip to the field I'll try .75 seconds on and off. The best part was another member was headed to the field while I was flying and he said you could see the smoke a couple miles away. He said it looked like a full scale airshow, HA! The first couple flights it was kind of a lot to think about, all the normal flying stuff plus the lights, plus the smoke but by the last flight of the day I was really having fun with it. Already looking forward to next weekend...

The problem is, the hose I have here ready for the T-1 has a hardness (70A) which is wrong. She is very inflexible. I will have to order a Soft 60A hose from a McMASTER-CARR. I hope that they will be willing to send goods to Europe.
Thanks guys ***winter***
Hi guys,
after a long wait, I received soft Viton tubing from U.S.A. (sent on 17.12.2020. There were times when the package from U.S.A. delivered within ten working days.).
Thanks to my friend Dean Kraus / Jersey Modeler /.
I'll replace them next week. Spring is coming. Today I was flying an acrobat and I can't wait to fly a T-1. ***winter***
