When you buy a Jeti, you won't need to think of another Tx. You will have the best. I also had JR for many years, in fact I still have it here. I use it on the simulator when the winter evenings are long. ***winter***

Default Weak main strut springs

My main strut springs seemed to have weakened over the past two years to where the left strut is almost fully compressed when the plane is sitting on the ground. (Plane weight is 30 lb with UAT full and main tank 10-20% full.) I usually like for the struts to be compressed about 20% when sitting on the ground (fueled) , but mine are compressed about 50% and 90%! I removed the weakest spring and stretched it out from about 70 mm to 80 mm. There was little if any improvement. The stock springs seem to have too low an elastic limit and perhaps too low a spring constant. I do not see replacement springs on the PRCJ website but have emailed Dirk inquiring. Has anyone found a source for better springs (higher spring constant and higher elastic limit)? Or an alternate solution?

Riiiiiiiight..... Jeti isn't used as often as others, but I have seen many crashes with them when I do see them. Saw one wipe out 5 grand worth of planes in one day. Keep being a fanboy.

What were the causes?
I've been a Jeti user for five years. Any failures I experience were traced back to user error (that's me).
I am always interested in learning about failures.

‘Our jet field is almost 100% Jeti’s a not a single crash so far…..been in Jeti since 2012/13…..and all the plane I lost, I can honestly say…that was my fault one way or the other…

Im not a fan boy, but I wouldn’t fly anything else either, been Futaba and JR before…..flying since the early 80’s

99% of it is a user error. Either the wrong setting, the wrong installation, the wrong combination of electronics of different brands or has both hands left, which few will admit. ***winter***

Pretty sure we are at the same jet event this weekend which is being completely dominated by Jeti pilots. I was going to take a count and there’s too many to count.

Man, I just spent thousands of dollars on DS-24 with all the bells and whistles! All new RX’s for all my models, thousands of dollars! Now it’s all for sale at a reduction. Back to my Futaba 8U FM PCM 75 mhz stuff. I am done with Jeti!

‘I’m guessing your lacking support in your group? I have help many transition to Jeti, most are extremely happy…I also help many far away from home…it’s not a difficult system, and it’s very robust, but there’s a learning curve associated to it like anything else…..

Sorry to hear this….

Ordered a set of electrons for the T-1. No issues with my air originals, just wanted the electrons. Took one week because they needed to fabricate them per Adrian at Electron. Took 2 days to arrive via DHL.

All,

I have placed my T1 for sale fully loaded and RTF if you know anyone that may be interested. I love this jet but I'm moving on to a bigger jet that's easier for me to see and fly F3S with. https://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/market/11693338

This is an amazing jet and I'm sad to let it go already.

Scott

AEROSHELDON just so you know, I never forgot about your request concerning Mercury iGyro settings but I never got to it. Life kept me from getting the flights on this thing to finally turn on the gyro and it certainly doesn't "need" the gyro. If no one bites and I wind up keeping it, when I finally do get to the gyro, I'll still remember to let you know.

This is my first turbine build and I'm about done. Just need to connect my radio to my turbine and add fuel so I can check CG. I'm happy with how everything came out and should be ready to fly in a week or two.

T-One Sport Jet combination bag for sale.

My T-One met an unfortunate demise on it's Maiden flight so I have a basically unused T-One sport jet transport bag. These are about $195.00 at Pacific Jets IF he has them in stock which he does not currently have nor has he had for quite sometime.

$200 plus shipping and PP fees.

My builder guy who does all the Maiden flights, got the ailerons reversed. Went into the dirt just off the departure end of the runway, inverted.

So sorry to hear that. I did that on a gas powered plane a few years back, tough way to lose a plane. In my case I had flown the plane many times then decided to upgrade the aileron servos, I had no idea at the time that different manufacturers swing the servos differently depending on the signal. Went from Futaba to Hitech and got some expensive wisdom that day.

Sometimes it happens. I know how you feel.

Winter, I’m still flying my T1 jets as often as possible, but I’ve also been converting and flying small micro jets Hope you are doing well. -Tom

I'm doing well. As soon as the weather is nice and I have time off, I go flying. It is necessary to use every moment, bad autumn weather is just around the corner. ***winter***

I did the maiden of mine yesterday and got 3 great flights. I have a CRX Swiwin 190 in mine and couldn't be happier with my motor choice. This is my first turbine jet and was my first time flying one.
