Tony,
The wing root is not perpendicular to the wing tube. Is it possible to use a fixed manifold on both sides when the wing doesn't slide perfectly straight away from the fuse? Do you make up that angle difference when you mount one of the sides?

It should be fine and I will know once I start the install, gunradd has installed it in his and no mention of it be a problem! Thi biggest hurdle is the lack of access to the inside of the wing.

Default BVM ezair install

On the eziar install you simply can't just glue one end to the inside of the wing then glue the other into the fuselage. Being it is a closed wing I made the wing side manifold a plug that will fit into the already cut hole.

I am using qick conects on all my gear so I can remove them without cutting the lines, this is for maintenance, repair and replacement. The plug will be backed up from inside and an access hole was cut next to it, this will also be the exit for the servo lead.

There re is a 5/16" gap between the two manifolds so I can imbed the wing plug as deep as I need and I can angle it to match the rotation rods if needed.

The depth and alignment can be adjusted as I do the install.

The plug will be healed in with wood screws.

Nice work Tony. Its pretty much the same thing I did and its been working great! I also hard mounted the two servo plugs in the fuselage so all I do is just plug into them and slide the wing on and its done. The best part about this set up is you don't need a bunch of slack in the lines to hook them up anymore. This means that you don't have a bunch of loose wire and airline right under the engine.

Sean it works fine at the angles of the wing. I have taken it flying 4 times now with this set up and no airleaks.

Hey gunradd, how is your gear holding up. I suffered a collapsed strut after 4 flights. When the plane is at rest it won't hold the wing up! It sits about halfway compressed and if you touch it it compresses all the way and once you start rolling it compresses and stays compressed. If you lift the wing the gear exstends but it is so soft it won't support the weight of the fram...on the right side. I took it apart and it looks like the sprig lost it's is tension!

Question on thrust pipe positioning. I'm using the Tam's pipe. How far from the tail end of the fuse should it be positioned? And from a trial fit, I'm going to have to make a ring to center it at the tail end, and some kind of mounting bracket at the turbine end.

Thanks,
...jim

Edit: Never mind, found the answer earlier in this thread. 1/4" to 1/2" inside the tail cone.

Tony mine seem to be fine. Sometimes one will be compressed and the other not but I just bump the wing it they both compress. The gear after the little mod of trimming the up lock has been rock solid. Probably the last 30 flights I have had I have not done a single bit of maintenance on her. I am going to go through the gear soon to double check everything soon though.

Default BVM ezair

I got the right wing done, waiting on glue to dry. It takes a bit of fitting to get it all right. You need to move the wing plug away from the rotation post as the cutouts do not line up so take note of that.

Once the fuse plug is cured I will connect the airlines and do the dreaded air test.
I ended up gluing in the wing manifold plug as there was not enough meat to use screws.

I glued mine also.... Its a pain to install but worth it in the end. Once its done its done and will give you more flying time and less assembly time

I glued it all and them assembled it and let it dry assembled. I also leak checked the system when it was set up but not dry just to make sure.

One thing RCPete and I noticed while messing around with his T-One at BITW is that the equipment tray is only supported at the ends. This allows the middle of the tray to bounce up and down just a bit. If you have a gyro on the tray, this could potentially have an adverse affect. So, I added a couple of rails for more support.

While reading the forums and Facebook posts about the T-One, several people mentioned issues with servo horns and push rod installations. Here's my solution. Note that it does require widening the servo horn slot. Fortunatly, the holes already in the control surface horn are perfectly sized for the 4-40 bolt. I'm not using the supplied ball links, instead I'm using DuBro 4-40 ball links. The supplied ball links appear to be for 3mm threaded rod while the supplied rods appear to be 2.5mm or 2mm. They simply slide in and out of the supplied ball links, however they fit the 4-40 ball links nice and tight.

I was thinking about this on my tray as well but have not noticed an issue yet. Maybe I do this before I do have one.....

Hmm that's odd as I had to use pliers to hold the rods while I screwed my ball ends in to place.

Not enough weight on mine to make it an issue, if your putting bats on it then yes add rails.

I set mine up with the max that the surface (ruder, elevator, aileron) would do before they where hinge bound. Elevator is still on max throw with 25% expo, ailerons I dialed down a bit from max to about 70% and I have 70% expo, ruder is full with 70%expo.
Everything is on high rates!

Default Success!!!

The BVM ezair couplings are successfully installed and holding air. The installation is not that hard and yes I would do a few things diferent but the end result is no hoes lines dangling out of the fusealage or wing and plugging the wing to the fuselage takes as long as it takes to put it on the tube and slide it in phasing only to connect the multi wire plug (takes 2 seconds).

This is definitely worth the effort if not for the clean field set up, but just overall a great addition to this shinning star of a jet.

From the info I go Mr Kim left the compa a little while back. Dirk has direct contact with the factory so might try calling him for a new contact.

i3DM and all concerned,

Please contact your local dealer for questions about the Fortune / T-1. Mr. Kim was trying to do everything and was completely overwhelmed. Mr. Kim has stepped down from dealing with sales/public and is concentrating on T-1 / Fortune production & R&D of new products. There are 2 other owners for T-One Models and they also have a hands on role in the company and are taking over some of the responsibilities from Mr. Kim and for the company. The factory is also in the process of moving to a much bigger facility due to the rapid growth of sales.

If you are a dealer and lost touch with T-One Models, PM me and I will get you in touch, If you are a customer wanting to get a hold of them, contact your local dealer in your country. If you are in N. America or S. America and need information, contact me at [email protected]

Regards,

Dirk
