Interesting....thank you for the tip. I will try and find someone local who is willing to help out

Congrats! I hope it shows up safely. Really hoping that mine will not be far behind.

Got the Blue Monster.

Tracking is now saying tomorrow, the work schedule is going to have to shift so I can work from home tomorrow!

I ordered the Electron gear, sounds like that’s at least a couple weeks out but it should ship before their planned shutdown 8/1 to 8/24. Got it without the controller since I have a LG15 I can use.

I need to do an inventory of everything I have on hand. It’s been so long since I ordered it all I need to make sure I have everything.

I hope to have it flying by the time our local jet event is scheduled in the second week of sept. But I’m a slow meticulous builder and who know if the event will even happen with the CV19.

Greg told me to start at .5 - .7amps. He said he would ask but thought they wouldn’t tell him.

I assume this is for the ER40. Do you, by any chance, have the AMP Cutoff numbers for the ER30? Thanks!

This is the LG 15 with a different paint job! It's why I use them over any other controller as it prevents stalled retracts from burning up gear motors and brake windings. Different size retracts will use slightly different settings. Put an in-line amp meter between gear and power and measure the amp load for normal operation and add 50%.

No two retracts are exactly the same nor is the installation enviorment! Plus individual preferences as to extention/retraction loads will vary slightly. I suspect my system would work out to be very close to what the factory gave you and not depend on having to call every time you did a different size retract install or wait till you could reach them during there working hours! Both ways get the job done! Your method applies to a specific installation while my method will apply to any electric retract installation.

well if you but an Electron or a Pro-link....they will be set the same, and they are lockdown into the LG15 or the GS200 and all their sub controller...that’s all I’m saying.

Well, just a short 8 months and 4 days and it’s already here! Lol!

Mostly undamaged, there’s a little crack/chip where the corner is between the aileron and flap meet on the wing skin. Unfortunately it’s in the top of the wing and not the bottom.

I’m going to have some buffing ahead of me, there’s quite a few places that need to be buffed out.

The glue looks more like an epoxy or something and not hysol like on my mini.

My Mini was perfect, inside and out. I would give this one a 9 out if 10.

The blue is more of a sky blue than it looks in the pics. That’s what I asked for and I’m happy with the shade of blue. I don’t know why it shows up so dark in the pics.

Thanks for sharing. When the manufacturer states the settings that's what I typically go with.

But it is a T1 and it has a Kingtech?

They also sent a free hat I guess, maybe because of the wait?

So glad to see someone get their jet. It looks great. I ordered the red version. When you say it needs buffing out, is that from the bubble wrap leaving marks? Also what do you use?

Thx! They have added a layer of tissue paper before wrapping it in the bubble wrap so it’s not from the bubble wrap. There are some dull areas on the plane, there are also what I guess i would call buffing marks in some areas. Some areas looks like they didn’t get all the buffing compound off the plane and in transit it rubbed on the plane and dulled it. Hard to say. But the buff job looks rushed and not as finished as you would expect.

I’ve just been using car wax, some areas I’ve gone over multiple times. Some areas are going to need a little more, I’ve used a product called Safecut before which is a waxed based scratch remover. I may have to see if I can find it or something similar. I will be able to get 98% of it out I’m sure just going to take time and some elbow grease. Obviously the black areas show it the most.

I ordered mine after they moved to the new building and were back to work. I wonder what my time frame will be. It's only been 4 1/2 months so far but that is what I was quoted. Did Dirk contact you guys to ask for more shipping money when your jet was ready or did you have to contact him?

I contacted Dirk. Glad I paid the extra ups surcharge. Got my plane in about two weeks after I sent in the surcharge funds.

I wish he would let us know when there ready so we can decide what to do. I will pay the extra, I know it's not his fault but he needs to let us know when our jets are ready. I guess it's time for a phone call.
