Default Yellow Aircraft F-18 Twin rear conversion / experience

Hello together, I stand before the restoration of a used F-18 of Yellow Aircraft (the big). The builder of the jet had installed a central thruster. I am now weighing whether the effort for a conversion to trousers pipe is worthwhile. Pure optically, of course, no question. The greatest effort would be the modification of the frames in which the elevator linkages are also integrated. I would like to ask you the following questions:

Has anyone of you experience with such a conversion?
How did you solve that with the Span?
Does someone still have a building guide or even has a chip set?

Does anyone have experience with this Heck: http://www.tamjets.com/OSCnew/index....b975bcea364dbd

Thank you for your answers (sorry Google translate)

Michael

Hello together, I am still looking for frames for the YA F-18. Trevor Brum from the Canadian Forum tried to find the original drawings, which according to him were delivered to each kit, which he had borrowed from someone. Unfortunately, this drawing has been lost by mail. Now I wanted to ask again here whether someone is in possession of these drawings. I could make the frames myself.

Many thanks for your help

Michael

Hello Michael,

I have the drawings for a few bulkheads, not all of them.
send me your adress and I will post you what I have.
I'm missing the main bulkheads which receives the wing spars and the twin engine mounts if someone has that?

Putting both turbines at the rear doesn't seem a very good idea, you will end up with too much weight in the nose.

cheers
Florent

Florent,

I read this comment, then remembered that I was supposed to trace them for you. Honestly, I forgot--then installed them already.
