No need for vectored thrust, just move your body.

I think most of us would need to drop 40 or 50 pounds to get on the thing........... He should just carry jet mans wing and transition into forward flight........ Wait till these start showing up under the Christmas tree.

So he finally got rid of the two EDF engines and installed some proper engines instead (the 2 on the outside of the frame)

Looks like 4 x P-300 in the centre and 2 x 180's for stabilisers on my crappy screen.

Yup 6 turbines total. Interesting the hand control in his right hand. I wonder what he is controlling, how many functions.
I was waiting for that Rocketeer moment when he salutes with the wrong hand and shuts off the engines!

Is that fuel or a chute on his back?

with six turbines I would think it is fuel on his back there does not seem to be much room else ware for the fuel, plus at the heights he is at a parachute is useless and just dead weight

They're still going on about the 10cc tether car video, it's a screaming 200mph run and last time I looked there were still debates about the speed of the birds in the background (bugs in the foreground) etc. It's amazing - people will believe any dumb **** you throw at them if they like the thought it might be true. But show something genuine..

I think it is 4 JetCat P400 Pro as main turbines in the middle of the board:

http://www.designworldonline.com/rel...-technologies/

"The record for the longest hoverboard flight was set with a hoverboard powered by four P400-pro engines, according to a JetCat spokesperson."

The handheld unit is for twisting the board, and for throttle management (pistol grip):

About 1:35 in this video You can see Franky Zapata twisting the handcontrol and then the vectorunits on outer turbine moves:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cs0QifMOC-E

Handheld pistol grip, throttle, see screenshot below from one Youtube video.

In this video Franky Zapata explain how he stear the board:
