Did I ever tell the story about how much I hate gear doors. After hours of work I finally had everything working.....Until the flameout. Due to my outstanding piloting skills I was able to get rocket powered manhole cover back to reasonably level ground. Tore off all wing gear doors in an intentional gear up landing. Crushed the front RWAH receiver also. Now I dont have to worry about them any more. Made it just like my foamie. Show passes only for me so the crowd doesnt see the belly. Its a daily flyer for me anyway.

The one under the radome. If you have an extra I would buy it from you. I have been rebuilding the fiberglass puzzle of the one on my jet.

PM me your address and I’ll send it. I have no use for it so that would be good to get it to someone who has a use!

Does anyone have the measurements for placement of the centerline tank? Skymaster did not include any kind of instructions with my F4, and I can't seem to find anything online.

Hi Kevin,

For the centerline tank, I mounted the tank lined up with the break point on the fuse with the nose section. It also lines up with a large molded former line at the rear of the tank. See the photos. I did a fair amount of research on-line to approximate the proper location. It seems to work nicely...also no trim changes when mounted versus downloaded. This original F-4 tank (vs the F-15 tank) looks kinda cool, and I received lots of compliments on how cool it looks.
I had to use some filler on the pylon to match it to the fuse bottom so it had a solid installation. Good luck!
