Wish I still lived at Whidbey! I'd be there in a second! Also wish you I would have finished my jet back when I did live there and got my waiver. Now I'm out in Ohio......so far away.

The Fall Jet Classic is less than three hours from you outside of Louisville KY next month, and it is held at one of the nicest model jet facilities in the country!

That is Youth Hunting weekend at my families Farm in Michigan. I have been taking my daughters there since 2010. So I'll miss that one.

HI Bill
I think you said that travel trailers could come in to the field on Thursday. Can we spot our cargo trailers on the line as usual behind the pitting area, Thursday as well?

See you in a couple of days.

Alan

Hi All!

My name is Rob Skiba and I have taken over for Bob Brusa as the Jet Pilots Org (JPO) District XI V.P. I have only been in Washington for a few years but am getting my R/C fleet and shop back online after the move (seems to have taken forever!). I live in in the Tri-Cities (Richland currently). I plan to attend the JOW 2017 this weekend and hope to meet all of you. I am looking forward to growing the JPO and model turbine activity in the PNW! Not sure how to make myself identifiable at the event but maybe Bill could give me a plug on the PA? I will be at the event all day Saturday.

To All,

Due to circumstances out of our control over night camping at the OLF will not be allowed. All participants will be required to leave before sunset. It is also not clear at this time whether items such as canopies etc can be left at the site over night. I realize that the timing of this news is unfortunate....

Feel free to call me if you have further questions.

Here are just a few of my pics for the JOW event this past weekend! Thanks for making me feel welcome and I hope to see you all again at the next event. Bill, nice job!

Saw that Princeton might be touch and go until the fire season burn ban is ironed out with the weather...

Just got home about 3 hours ago, truck and trailer is unloaded and just relaxing after the drive. Want to thank Bill and the Whidbey club for doing such a great job in hosting this year's JOW. You had some tough challenges but handled it professionally and made it great event in spite of it. Thanks as always making Jean and I feel so welcome and you did such a nice job on the weather too. Going to have to talk to you to see how you do that.

See you next year.

Guys,

I am going to start a new thread but wanted to get a bit of info first. Besides the JOW and Spring and Fall Princeton events, what other Jet Events do pilots in the PNW try to attend? I am looking for the Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Montana, Canada circuit. Is there such a thing?

Feedback appreciated and it will help with planning an Eastern Washington Event in 2018!

Hi Rob

unfortunately we don't have any other jet meet to go to. So what you have is it.

Hi Rob
One jet meet that is in Alberta that is usually within the first two weeks of August is the Tofield Rally. It's located a few minutes out of Edmonton. Something to consider when organizing for us that would attend from Alberta.
Nice to see you in Whidbey. Wish you success in your endevour.

Alan
