Last time I talked with Larry, they were changing their models a bit thus letting the stock deplete. But that was several months ago. I see that boomerangs are still NOT offered by DreamworksRC. Maybe Larry will "pipe up" after the holidays.

Larry had a veteran's day sale. I emailed about month ago about the smaller turbinator. Here is Larry's email:

Larry is selling off his inventory and getting out of the hobby business. There is some talk of others picking up the line including the new smaller turbinator.

This was still TBC last week when i spoke to him, he was still in the 'deciding' phase. recent sales may prompt him to stay as the owner

Ripmax is probably selling off their stock, just like DreamworksRC did over here. Elan and Torus were the last to go. Too bad. The Boomerangs were excellent "First Jets," give or take the few minor design bugs they never bothered to work out to make assembly perfect. But, overall, they were a good way to start out building and flying jets. Hate to see Larry get out of it. He was a great guy and supper supporter.

I have tried twice to get a quote and buy the Turbinator ARF by following their website instructions, No response on 1st attempt, tried again yesterday, we'll see I guess. The website says it's in stock, I'm still trying to buy it.

Probably best to contact Larry via email. He posted pics of the new Turbinator V2 that is just about to hit the shores. $999 with electric gear.

I took your advice and emailed him. It's ordered and should ship today or tomorrow (V2 but not with retracts as you mentioned).

That's exactly what I want. A jet that I will at least assemble and learn on, and get my waiver. I also have a full Ziroli Turbinator kit, but currently lack the time to build it. I also like that the Boomerang Turbinator V2 has 81.5" wing span instead of 72" in the kit version. I'm not a scratch builder, but an experienced kit builder/ARF basher.

You have the option to build the Turbinator wing with two extra rib bays which will make the wing over 90" long, I did.

I have two of the V2 versions. Perfect for fun flying and excellent for someone just getting into jets.

I build the fuse and stabs then ran out of time. I bought the ARF a couple of years ago. It is great flier. It is faster than I though it would be even here at 6800 ft. Slow passes with partial flaps look good too. If I ever finish the kit I will build it into a banshee.

I'll keep that in mind, that explains the wingspan range in the kit specs 71-XX inches. I can't remember the the exact numbers without looking at the plans again. Hopefully I'll get some benches cleared of other things soon. The kits are piling up.

I just received my Elan the other day. The retracts and kevlar tank that I ordered from him were shipped from DreamWorks and Jet Tech.

Default Elan repair

Hi guys, new to the group but have been flying a long time.
I've got a crashed Elan and I'm rebuilding it as its not bad. I need a new Canopy and I'd like to know where from? Any ideas would be great, I live in little old New Zealand

contact larry directly via Boomer website and see if he can help you out at all.

i suspect you wont get one from factory, as the new factory producing Boomer models have not produced the Elan as yet.
may have to look second hand.
