Default DX18QQ Stolen

Last evening sometime after 11pm three vehicles were broken into on my street. Each suffered loss of personal property.

My Spektrum DX18QQ , its case, a KingTech gsu, Duralite voltmeter, neck strap, gold flashlight, manual and other parts, were taken. Please watch classifieds. I had models stored, information on the last update and the Spektrum Brand Teams username and password are available for verification. I am grounded !

All I ask is those of you in the know keep your eyes and ears open.

Case number 2017-12-1138 is on file with the North Port, Florida Police department. 941-429-7300

Thank you,
Eric Clapp

I hate people.

Did you let Horizon know? they can flag the serial number in case someone tries to register and update it.

I hope you get your stuff back, chances are they don't know what it is and will try to dump it at a pawn shop.

Yes, I called Horizon. . .a very professional support member by the name of Jordan logged the info. The only way the "red flag" raises is if the perp or buyer from the perp calls to register the system.

Thanks Andy. . .

Default Dx18qq stolen

Here is an update. Pictures of the suspects were shown on SNN news an affiliate ABC network. Detective Taylor Cooper, North Port PD is handling the case. No identity yet. I am sure when school resumes next week, the respective School resource officers will be on site with keen eyes.

Here's hoping. . .

Eric

Default DX18 QQ Stolen

UPDATE:
I was informed yesterday all four perps (they call them suspects) have been identified. Two arrested with the other two to be arrested today. Parents of one of the minors (yes all were in middle school) has agreed to cooperate fully with the detectives/attorneys. However, the parents of the other three refuse any and all cooperation. Go figure !

To date, none of my personal property including the DX 18 QQ has been recovered. It is hoped the one person who's parents are cooperating will open up and provide answers. So far, all he is saying is he will not "rat out" his buddies. . . .

I thank all who are keeping their eyes and ears open to any conversation which may lead to recovery of my property.

Thank you,
Eric

Another example of what's wrong with the world.

Parents themselves won't make their kids responsible for the kid's own wrong doing. And then its left up to law enforcement and the judicial system to bring up kids.

There may not be "parents" involved at all. Far too often it's just momma and a non existant baby daddy. When the streets raise kids you see this behavior a lot more.

Good luck recovering your property.

Hey Mike,
Give your buddies over at the Hoover building a call and let's get this thing wrapped up !! Eric is a good buddy of mine and he deserves quick action. I hate to see him trying to fly his airplanes with a string !!

IMHO>>>>>>>>It is because the past couple generations of kids now call the police on the parents for any deserved discipline the kids need and is now called child abuse. Our legal system and being too liberal to think kids have choices now gives the kids the power. Parents have become powerless in the up bringing of their kids. Even teachers have become powerless in educating, scolding and discipline in the class rooms. So, the police are now disciplinarians and are under scrutiny. If the police come to break up a fight and don't know the ages of those involved and place them in handcuffs, they now get heck from our society for police abuse, over something that should have been taken care of by the parents.

When my son was around 14 he used to joke with mom and myself about disciplinary actions and calling the police to which I responded, Oh yeah!! fine but, the very next day you are going to be on your way to Mexico city ( working for an airline makes it easy to fly any day, any time, any flight ) once there I will take care of you then I will leave you there with grandma for at least six months, how about that, to which he replied, fine, fine, I'm just kidding .

He is 21 years old at the moment, he is a fine young adult, no drinking or smoking, in collage, has a job, a new car, a girlfriend that is also in collage, respectful, well behave, I couldn't ask for a better kid heck! he is doing much better than me when I was 21 years old

I end up sending him to Mexico about two years ago but it was to get the wisdom teeths out, Ouch!

OP.....sorry for taking the forum off, but it was brought up about kids stealing from your car.
Carlos! Job well done!

Just yesterday......7 year old attacks teacher in Miami and police lead him away in handcuffs. In the good ole' days, he would have been sent to the Principle's Office and waited for the paddle with holes in it for a few whacks! Those days need to come back, but never will, hence the police doing the discipline.
