Default Elvington (UK) Model Flyers Jet Meet - 21st/22nd July 2018

Elvington Model Flyers Supported by the J.M.A staged a second two day Jet Meet at their superb facility on the former RAF Elvington Airfield.
Martin and his team worked very hard to make this happen, and they made everyone very welcome, even the weather Gods smiled down on us, we should not be too surprised though, it is Yorkshire! :-)
A big thank you to Martin & his team, looking forward to the next one.

I will post a few photographs.

Amazing weekend for us, makes us realise how lucky we are to have a site like Elvington as our local Jet club. Thanks to Martin, Ian, Dennis and others who organise the event. Got to be said that we were all a little fed up on Wednesday night when the Jets over Pampa cancellation email arrived about 5 minutes after we'd finished packing the van, but we were very lucky our local event was the same weekend.

Some old and new faces on both days, watching Geoff White fly his incredible Hunter and Viper jet just literally never gets old, Steve Elias is always also a pleasure to watch with his 1/5 scale F16, a weekend with very little drama or many incidents is always good but coming home a little sun burnt is a bonus as well. Looking forward to more picture's Alistair, after sun applied, beer in hand, plane cleaned, ready for the next one 👍🏻

Hi Alistair,

As per normal your photos are stunning. I regret the Aberdeen contingent couldn’t make this event. Looking forward to catching up in September at the JMA Buckminster event.

Best regards

You’re a funny guy Jame😁

Seeing you fly today reminds me there are some incredibly talented flyers out there and you’re in that set 👍.

Would like to echo everyone’s sentiments that we must thank everyone in the Elvington model flyers for the invite and their hardwork in making the weekend successful.

Thanks also to Alistair for the photos.

Geoff.

I don't know about stolen Dave but I did have to prise it out of my Dad's hands, lets just say he had no intention of selling it to me before I convinced him what he really needed was an Avanti 👍🏻 Congrats on your UF maiden, both UF and Mephisto looked mega all weekend, as consistent as ever.

Thanks again Geoff, really appreciate it.

We're all well up for the next one now 😁
