loved flying rc, then had kids. Haven't posted on here in 5-10 years. Was shocked my account still worked.
clearing out some older planes, would appreciate pricing info as I am out of the market for a long time...
what is a 10 year old, never flown, yellow aircraft star fire worth?
new os 91
new pipe
new fan
spring air retracts
nondigital heavy duty servos, which I would expect someone would replace...
plane is 90% finished, in primer. Was going to fire it up, but had kids instead... well built, carbon fiber reinforcement, removable wings, etc.
i know everyone flies electric and turbine now...
ball park, what's a sell it today price, and what's a hope you get lucky price?
any value in the motor or ducted fan?
thanks, bo

Typical Starfire $500-700, but since yours is started it will depend a lot on the quality of your work, and how long ago it was started.
A new OS/Fan/Pipe combo will usually sell for $400-450....engine alone would be ~$200-250
As a combo, you are looking at $1000 average, depending on the model itself. If it looks really good may be $1200.
Good luck!

I have owned several starfires. They are great flyers but new models are larger and now that arfs are here, you will need to find builder, sad but hard to find these days. However with electric and small turbines I am sure there will be a buyer for plane. The ducted fan stuff I am not as sure. Best thing is to post and just see what the interest is. Good luck with the sale
