Default Ultimate Jets projects for 2019

Dear all.
Following the fantastic success we had at Jet Power ( we sold 1 year of production in 1 day ), we took the opportunity to ask our customer base what they were interested in for their next project ad took note.
As always, my aim is to put out on the market some unique airframes never made before in both small and giant sizes.

As such, here is our next project in the pipeline.
This is a F-3H Demon at 1/7th scale.

The model is extremely true to scale and derived from Douglas Blueprints and the many photopacks we shot at Pensacola.
The plugs are being cut on our Kuka robots at the moment. I will show pictures of them soon.
Here are a few screen shotsof the CAD file made with Siemens NX 12.

I have always liked the Demon. Very elegant lines, a tad of a retro look from the 50s, some great paint schemes.
The plane will be a very good flyer and a fine airframe for engines ranging from 100N to 140N.

Wanna show up with something different at the field????

Let me know what you think about this project. It is not to late, we can still stop it!

If we were to make a Stiletto, it'd have to be very big and very light...

This 1/7th scale model will be the only project funded by me in 2019.
All the other models we will bring to the market are contracted.
We can make any model on contract, provided:
1. It is unique and original
2. We have the right scale documentation
3. There is no stringent IP restriction on the original

I guess my scratch build is unique since few modelers can identify it. I have mixed feelings about anybody producing it because then I wouldn't have the only one flying. By the way it is a F-94C.

The demon will be great! As you mention there is more to the story to selecting what to model. Lot's of schemes and should be a good flyer with the conventional layout

Would love to see an FJ4 Fury. Scale trailing link gear and lots of wing area would make for a great RC model. Plus, its just cool....

Oli,

Congrats on the success at Jet Power. Goes to show if you build a quality product, people will buy it. Keep it up!

Me too....

I always loved that scene from the movie "The Russians are coming, The Russians are coming" where there are a pair of VooDoo's making low passes over the docked submarine with "black coal" streaming out of their engines.

Those damn things had the loudest afterburner light you ever heard. I remember being next for takeoff behind a flight of 4 VooDoos and had to stick my fingers under my helmet and plug my ears. It actually hurt.

Love the old school MIGs. 15,17,19,21 etc. But...with the current environment, not a good idea. Fly American jets or European type. Sold my MIG last year.

Oli,
you guys should look into an F11f Tiger. I mean afterall, how can you not want to do one when its (as far as i have been able to find in research) the only airplane to ever shoot itself down with its own gun. Lol

Tad, at Golden West Models had a very scale Mig 17, 19 and a 21. Not sure if he is still selling. Loved my mig 17. Any project Oli gets involved in turns out to be awesome. Ultimate Jets and crew are great to deal with.

Not sure about the above comment of MIGs and the "current environment" has any bearing or relevance regarding flying model jets and our hobby. To each his own I guess. I personally love the old MIGs.
