Passing of Jason Jordan
It breaks my heart to inform all of the passing of Jason Jordan (far rt in blue shirt). Jason was my partner in crime and dear friend. I helped Jason get into jets when I moved to SC and he embraced everything about the hobby and the wonderful guys who participate. A funny story about him that brings tears is the programming of his radio to say his common phrases. Dadburn. Hold my beer, watch this.
I never dreamed when we left the field yesterday our customary hug would be our last. Jason was an Air Force vetean. He left behind a wife, daughter 4 and son 16.

Very sad to hear about Jason. Jason helped me quite a bit and was a very dear friend. When I met him the 1st time - we was the most welcoming person I have ever met in this hobby. I will truly miss him.
Condolences to Jason's family.

When I moved to SC in 2010 I met Jason and he immediately became one of my best friends. Always friendly, always helpful, and I always looked forward to being around him. He was voted to receive the Pilots Choice award at the SC Tiger Jet Meet just two weeks ago. Well deserved by a great RC pilot, a great guy, and truly a great friend. I will miss him dearly.

Twelve years ago when first getting back into the hobby I met Jason Jordan at our local flying club. He had only been flying for about a year and we instantly hit it off. Anybody that has ever met Jason knows he had the ability to make you feel like his best friend from day one. In the coming years we became very close and we both grew from small nitro planes to giant scale aerobatic planes then warbirds and then jets several years ago. From day one Jason said I will fly jets one day, this is back when neither of us had even seen a rc jet in person. When Tom Perry relocated to our field with a large jet collection Jason was bit hard. Once he started flying them he then got me hooked. However is was never completely about the planes or jets...it was always about the people and relationships. He cherished every friend he had in this hobby. Jason had a personality that always made people feel welcome and an amazing sense of humor. He loved going to fly ins and loved seeing all of our buddies there. Haven't been to an event in over 10 years without him. He will be missed by many, he will be missed by me....Love you Jason, my co-pilot, my best friend, Calm Blue Skies and God Speed. Prayers are with his family.

That’s me awarding Jason with the Pilot’s Choice award at our jet meet just two weeks ago. It is truly a Pilots Choice and was voted on by all registered pilots. What more needs to be said about the guy. Great pilot, even better person and friend. Big personality but soft spoken. Always willing to help others and was the source of constant laughs. US Air Force veteran. Loved his family and flying buddies. Loved Clemson. Too much more to list.
Selfishly I miss him though I know he is in a better place. Prayers to his family and friends as we will all struggle to move on, but we will because he would demand it. But the SC Jet Squadron will never be the same without him.
Thank you for your service, Jason. Thank you for your friendship. I will cherish the memories made and am proud and fortunate to have known you.
God bless.

I don't think I ever met this man. From what I've read here it appears he was a fantastic person, a loyal friend to many and a real asset to the jet community. Condolences go out to his family and friends. Rest in peace sir.

For anyone who knew Jason and would like to help his family in this time of need here is a Gofundme link. The SC Jet group is doing something separate from this.

Jason was laid to rest yesterday. A beautiful sunny day after 10 days of cold wind and rain. Family and friends gathered at our field for a memorial service with a display of his models and a video of some of his finest moments. Afterward our SC Jet Squadron gathered at my home for a wonderful meal prepared by my wife and was followed with "brown drink" and Funyums. Jasons favorite beverage and snack. He will be sorely missed.
