That's it, thanks. Wonder what motor it's sized for?

The recommended turbine for "NEXT" model is 100N, so it is probably a pipe for that size.

Looking forward to seeing this one grow! Post lots of pics.
Good luck,

Reply from Grumania is that the pipe is for 80-160. Ill decide whether is use Rabbit or Cheeta after I get it built and painted. Weight will be the final determinant. I expect to begin some minor work on this project next month.

Balsa USA. I think I will also use their pre-made wing skins. A little pricey but it hits the easy button.

Started work on mine. Fuse is almost ready for glassing. Small mod to intakes. Rounded them out at top of fuse and gentle curve at base of fuse. Fun build so far, all the parts fit.

From December 1. until Christmas day "Mirce models" will offer you a 10% discount on all our wooden kits and scale & details sets!!!
This is a double discount since we will be raising our wooden kits prices from January 2022, because plywood price has risen significantly.

The inlets look quite generous on this model. Has anyone tried
one as an EDF yet?

As far as I know, no one has made NEXT like EDF yet.
NEXT can also be finished with Monokot foil, so you can additionally lose weight. The model is strong enough even if it is not coated with a glass cloth about epoxy resin !!!

And yes, inlets are so sexy...

Here is Damiano's answer:
I used 12 kg turbine.
Weight is little more than 15 kg full with 2,9 litters inside.
10 minutes very safe flying time (I did 14 minutes).
I have installed G sensor, I reach 9G in Z, during negative loops more or less 5G, in positive 9G.

My first idea when I engineered NEXT was putting EDF inside.
But cost of 130mm fan+controller+4battery pack+chargers=3x120N Turbojets
Inlet surface: 280 square cm(can be easily increased to 350)
