I would think painting out of the Mold will have more weight difference...less control round surfaces versus painting flat on a table....but I could be wrong.

I used the Standard Powerbox wire. I build very light. I know your model will fly great even at few ounces heavier as the airframe is very clean.

Not to be discouraging but I came across a trash can at our field today and noticed there was the tail section of a jet sticking out. Low and behold, when I got to it it was a crashed Rebel Hot. I guess one of the pilots at the field had been experiencing problems with it and crashed it some terrible! They literally decided not to try and salvage parts but to just trash the whole plane. I don't think it was a weight issue due to having a K45 in it however no one was shocked more than me due to really considering adding it to my collection.

I have seen very nice jets which were very poorly setup that did not yield a very pleasant flying experience. I kind of place builder setup/skill in the same category as pilot flying experience/skill, both are equally important. Not trying to be critical of anyone's skill level, we're all learning everyday. But I have seen it over and over again where planes get rushed into the air and the flight experience is not representative of the quality of the equipment.

I have also seen some pretty inexpensive and simple setups in the right hands - the planes flew beautifully.

I decided to join the club. Infinity Orange ordered. should be here in January. Being that that I don't do much flying until mid March anyway I don't mind the wait. Hopefully can find a black friday deal on some servos.

I guess someone backed out so my January delivered turned in to December 1st. I have a project on the bench with about a week to go and then I can hit this thing. I’m slow and don’t fly much if it’s cold so likely March test flight.

Honestly we do to, Not florida type weather but 60's isn't unusual in January and February. Snow isn't unusual either. I just normally don't fly much from Christmas to February and then fly a bunch in March and April.

I agree, it looks great! I like the canopy, it is much nicer than my Orange Pirotti version. My canopy is all black.

Has anyone installed uni lights in a rebel hot yet?

curious about the internal wing structure. is there any areas in the wing I can pass the light wires from the wingtip thru to the root of the wing or will I need an extra long drill bit to drill all the way thru ribs and internal structure ?

Also , oddly enough when I ordered the medium jet light kit , it does not come as pictured. The teardrop shape wingtip lights actually came as a long light bar.

I was thinking the same thing. I ended up buying separate pieces for mine. And it seems like they should all fit fine. Just nervous about cutting into wing.
