Default SM 1:7 F4 gear

I am interested in the SM 1:7 (2.5m) F4, but REALLY DON'T want to use the pneumatic retracts.
Does anyone know if it is possible and which modifications are needed to fit in an electric retracts? (preferably the electron ev-50)

Thanks,
Ron

Hell, the gear is the best part of the SM F-4 kit. They work flawlessly and look great. Save your money.

I think it would be possible to convert the Skymaster retracts to electric.

I have two of them and the air works great. I would think the retract could be converted to elecric

SM's struts (no intention to replace those) will fit the electric retracts, but not sure if the retract have enough room in the wing.
Anyone knows the wing thickness where the retracts mount and if there is some room inside the wing to fit in something longer toward the tip?

I took a quick measurement and the gear are not mounted flat. The rear plate is closer to the wing skin then the front plate. The front plate is approx. 30mm to wing skin and the rear approx. 25mm to wing skin. There is a little space before the wing tip which tilts up.

opps.. tried to upload a picture the wrong way..
Kevin, thank you very much for measuring. Looks like the ER 50 is a no go but the ER 40 might fit. The ER40 is rated for up to 17kg. A bit on the edge..
