Default l-39 parts

Out of interest did anyone install these parts, I'm guessing they go onto the rudder?

I think they are the little horizontal fins on the top of the rudder, but I'll leave them off for now and keep the clean look.

Default Baltic Bee

Warbirds Over the Rockies 2022
Shane won Best of Show!
Had a great time and burned 15 gallons of fuel over the weekend!
The Bee has become his favorite plane.

Hi,
I understand that this pnp comes with servos and power distribution namely the Dualsky Gemini 3108, GDW or Dualsky servos. Do you fly with those stock electronics or you opt out for better electronics components? Just wondering anybody have good result with their stock electronics?
regards

I did not get the pnp version. However, my T7a came with gdw servos and they are pretty good. i would not have a problem flying them.
thanks

regards,
It a great flying plane. I fly mine with a 180n but have seen videos of it flying with a 130n and it locked solid. Most of the advice I could give I have already placed in this thread. If you have an specific questions I would be happy to try to answer it.

I've been using the Warbird Pilot 1/6-1/5 size and it appears to fit well.

I also forgot how much fuel I can burn through in a day lol, especially at these prices. On my original L39 I would have a bit of an issue with the nose gear door not closing unless I am straight and level on take off. So when I built this one I changed the servo geometry for the nose gear door and reinforced the vertical plates. Problem solved. However, on this jet, I had a problem with the right main door not closing all the way. Initially I thought this may be a geometry issue also but now I just think it may be the servo as it did not feel very smooth when I cycled it by hand. I will play with it and see. I did not really have any issues with the brakes but I am using a LG15 controller and as I flew on grass it is a bit easier to stop. Anyone on the fence for a large L39 should strongly give this one some consideration.
Thanks,
Tone
Your post sums up the jet very well Tone, it's an absolute joy to fly!

The flight envelope is incredible as the jet will happily fly slow or fast, inverted or perform knife edge with ease, landings are slow and smooth and flight times are well beyond what I require. I’m yet to add smoke so this will be the next thing ill install 😊

I received my L39 from Peter several months ago and just now started working on it. It came unpainted in white gell coat with some black paint stripe painted on. It is now primer and ready for paint. Powering it with a Jet Central 160, this will be my second turbine jet, currently fying a Skymaster Viper 2m. I had an Aerofoam L39 EDF and that was a great flyer, I just needed bigger and longer flight time. Hope it fly just as easy as the Aerofoam!

The front fuselage was already glued in but I added additional support just in case.

I was in a similar situation, I had the HSD L-39 and upgraded to the Baja L-39, im sure you will love it!

Using both fuel tanks (4.6ltr) and running a Jets Munt 166ts I fly for 10 - 12 min with plenty of reserve, however im going to swap the 1.5ltr tank over to smoke soon so that will shorten the flight time although I might add another 500ml tank for a little reserve fuel.

Curious - even though it's slightly smaller how does this one compare to the BVM L-39? and FYI I own a BVM L-39, just curious that's all.

Mine is all done. Re-painted, spencer scale landing light covers, new servos, swiwin 170, Smoothflite system, and frsky as guidance. Beautiful flying jet.
