The MI Jet Pilots' Boondoggle is Lake County Modelers and Flyers Asn's (LCMFA) last big jet event for the year. However, we are still looking at several LCMFA mini-rallies (i.e. one-day events) for the folks who are not shy about traveling a bit for one day at the field. If you want to get on that distribution list, please drop your email address to me on a PM.

Also, Jets Over the Valley is a great event. Been there the last two years and again have it on my "Dance Card" for this year.

I want to get to Top Gun again this year. I would hate to see the remainder of our events get canceled due to an outbreak among us. So, ... Please stay safe and healthy!

The Monroe, MI guys currently have an event planned for the same weekend as Titusville. Otherwise, I would consider it. Ken Olsen and I have talked about Titusville several times. However, ... the Monroe folks were not able to get their event permit for last weekend. If they are frozen out by the city in Sept, I may just come on over to PA. Thanks for the invitation.

Also, I might make it down to New Albany. The timing is about right for me. Kind of depends on the equipment carnage factor and the virus. Had one of my best jets blow its turbine and burned things a bit. Down to only three now. I feel kind of naked w/o the ultra flash.

Just got news that the Jet Rally in the Valley in Lodi, Ca. is on for November 6-8. It will be at the Kingdon AIrpark in Lodi.. This is one that everyone should try to make. It is one of the best even though it is so small.

A lot of jet fly-ins have been cancelled however, Bomber Field has plenty of social distancing space to accommodate hundreds. October 30~31 Bomber Field hosts Jetoberfest. Any size or power.

I respectfully disagree with changing date. The people that had intended on going to the now cancelled Monroe event most likely already had time off scheduled. They would now only move the location and not their scheduled time off.

O.K., ... Our group has decided to run a 3 day Jet Rally on the same weekend as Monroe's cancelled event. We will be doing the event Thursday - Saturday at the Baldwin RC Park in Baldwin, MI. We typically have some folks come in Wednesday afternoon/evening and also have some folks that typically stay over to fly Sunday. That is fine. Onsite Camping is allowed. I already had some folks indicating they want to do that. So, below is a flier. Also, listed below is the contact information for our local motels and other sponsors. It would be wise to get your motel reservations ASAP as this is prime fishing and hunting season up here and rooms are limited. If you run into an issue with motels please feel free to contact me for help. We will have onsite plane storage. Food service will be provided on Friday and Saturday. Also, all our restaurants are open for indoor dining, etc.
