Hi! Happy owner of 300B here. A beast of a turbine.
I plan to put it into a VTOL project and one of the requirements is to start the engine in a vertical position. Starting it in horizontal and tilting to vertical later is not an option.
I know it is designed to be started horizontally and watched Swiwin yt videos explaining why.
What i already did try is 30 degree angle but it did not want to start except for one instance(took a long time along with bit more flames than usual). I tried many different settings from the startup menu but no luck. It often had low temp error and when not i shut it down myself.
I also tried at 70 degree angle too but same problem. There has been a lot of fuel dripping and the preheat could not get above 70C.
Is there any way to get it to start vertically or at least 70 degree? Any idea which settings could i try altering to get it to work this way?
I know of a few instances of other brand turbines being succesfully started vertically.

I am getting started and have a Swiwin 60B. I have found many manuals online but they vary with information. The one I am using is one I got from the CRX site. But, comparing the actual ECU parameters between the CRX Manual and the actual entries from the unit they too do not agree. I have listed below the differences. Can someone take a look and tell me what the correct parameters are for the Swiwin 60B? Thanks!!
ECU Parameters - Brushless Starter Serial Number SW60B-1139
ECU Ver 2.00.92 GSU Ver 1.02.24
RCX Manual Actual ECU
Pump Voltage 1.1 to 1.3 0.8
Glow Plug 6.2 6.0
Max RPM 160000 150000
Min RPM 40000 35000
Restart Glow Plug 6.6 6.0
Pump Limit 7.5 10.0
Idle Pump State 5.0 8.0
Eject Voltage 4.0 3.5
Cooling RPM 6000 5000

It did not come from them - so I am trying to get some help to make sure it is correct. I have watched several utube videos that say the information from the online manuals is outdated and was done for the brushed models. Even what claims to be a brushless model version still seems to be wrong.

I have a Futaba 18MZ and am trying to setup the telemetry for my Swiwin 60B. I have it all setup except for the RPM. The Futaba setup screen for RPM needs to know what the RPM Ratio is for the Swiwin 60B. Does anyone know what the RPM Ratio for the Swiwin 60B is? Thanks!!

So here is a really (stupid?) question?? The UAT is new to me for a fuel system as compared to a regular glow system. Fuel fills the same. To empty the tanks, if you reverse the pump it will empty the main tank but the UAT remains full. So, are you supposed to keep the UAT filled even when the plane is not being flown or do you turn the plane upside down, reverse the pump and drain both the main tank and the UAT? I would think drain them both at the end of the day?

Looks good..
I have a same version just with ACEx turbines, I currently own an ACEx 80/140/190 turbine and buying a 220 for my Gripen very soon. I also owned and sold a 170. I have had 0 issues or complaints with any of them. They have been solid turbines for me and another friend who owns ACEx 80/120/220 turbine. I was hesitant at buying a Chinese manufactured turbine at first but the 80N turbine he owned and after nearly nonstop week to week flying of over 13+hrs of usage last summer between me and him, no issues.
I expect you will have the same experiences as anyone else.

I'm not sure if the "MZ" telemetry programming is different than the "SZ", so crosscheck your RPM between the GSU and your transmitter to verify they're saying the same thing.

P.S. Looking at your setup, I don't think you need the ECU PPM to Rx Ch3 cable for throttle. I run mine from ECU Telemetry to Rx SBus2 only for throttle...just ensure the GSU/ECU throttle setting is set for Ch3. Maybe the tech experts here can comment if the way you have it establishes throttle redundancy.
