Just take the spring out clean it with a rag and that is. I added a bit of light grease to reduce friction. I tested dropping it from around 2-3" and worked great.

I wasted a can of brake cleaner and a pair of nitrile gloves on it. I found that to be the easiest.
Took the spring out - sprayed brake parts cleaner on it till all the grease disappeared. Soaked a rag in brake parts cleaner and cleaned the springs wells. - 5 mins and it was all gone. Then added some light grease and assembled it back...
If you see the video of the VSTOL I posted - that had a harrier landing of sorts all day long - 8 or so flight that day.

Thanks guys. I fly exclusively from hard surfaces so it's good to know how to soften it up a little if needed

Anyone care to post some internal install pics of their J-10? Nice to see where you all decided to place your equipment in terms of CG...Got mine ordered and considering a slightly heavier KT235G4

We have 2 of these at our field - with KT 210 G2 (appx. 1750g + 150g in cables) and Swiwin 220 (appx 1750g + 50g in cables)

I thought about putting the 235 - but the K235 G4 (2100g + 50g) an additional 250g compared to my K210 G2 . To offset - I will have to add 250g to the nose. The performance with the K210 is great and with the 220 much better. The stock tank is 4L - as such you have to possible add another tank for the 235 as well.

Mods I made to save battery tray weight:
Moved stock 250ml UAT to forward fuselage (just a little front of the battery tray)
Fuel pump is under battery tray
Smoke pump is also under battery tray
Batteries used: 1X 3S Hobbyking LIFE 2200mah, 2X 2S LIPO 2200mah Pulse

Weight on front nose wheel - appx 900g (no lead weights anywhere).

Thanks for the info. So based on the CG you're flying with, a KT235 would require added ballast (or bigger batteries etc) to balance.Good to know

Is there a noticeable improvement on punch out between the SW220 vs the KT210G2?

the 220 is definately better! More POWA! 🤣

I have about 100 or so flights with my 210. If I were to do it again I would put a 220 in it. It just feels a lot more locked in and everything is a little bit more crisp. Not to mention that the installation is so much easier with just a single cable going to the turbine. My 210 G2 has almost 150g in cables! Ugg!

This plane is on my list, I love the green. Not sure exactly when I will get to it, but it is definitely one I want to try eventually.

I suggest you check the gear for excessive sticky grease/lube. Mine had too much sticky grease/lube. I removed all of it for the spring to have any effect.

I opened up the scissors on one of the struts and took a look inside there. I’ll be cleaning all that up and adding some light oil once the thick grease is removed. Gives me something to do on it while I wait for servos and components to arrive

3s lipo 2200mah
2s lipo 2X 4400mah
Full uat - 250ml
No smoke fluid - empty 1.5L Smoke tank and PilotRC Smoke pump
No fuel - Empty larger 5L tank for possible 8-10min flights


Right gear 5704
Nose gear 962
Left gear 5646

12312g = 27.14lbs dry (full UAT)

Thanks. Yes - I reduced nose wheel weight to 1100g. The extra power from the SW220 and the lighter nose has made a world of difference!

Install is coming along quite well. Iíll need to get my turbine ordered soon here now. Hereís a quick video of the thrust vector install....I used Savox 2291ís for their speed 0.05...

Awesome flight....great videos btw desert fox 👍

Hey do you leave your TV on the entire flight? Did you end up adjusting your throttle curve or is it still hovering at half stick? I just got my 240 the other day, but Iím half way around the world in a hotel room with my work 🤪.....Iíll get installing when I get home

I have 2 modes - one with TV and 1 without.
For pattern flying - I turn the TV off but I do most of the flying and land with it being on.




I have not adjusted my curve for the throttle.
