Default Sport jets in the 80N-100N class

Are they dying off?
There's very litttle on the market apparently.
It"s all geared towards either smaller or larger turbines.

I like the 80N class...20 litres of fuel gets you an entire afternoon of fun...

Or am I just looking in the wrong shops?

Pilot and Jet Legend make a 1.8m Viper that are perfect for 80N turbine.

Pilot 1.8M Predator is a superior sport jet to the Viper option. I own the 2.2m Predator and can vouch that it flies phenomenally.
There is also the T-1 Mini at 1.7M
And if you like a little excitement, the Rebel HOT at 1.65M with an 80 is TONS of fun, and FAST!

Default Sebart Avanti xs

The Sebart Avanti XS is a great plane. Very easy landings. I fly mine with a Kingtech K85-G2.

FBjets

I have the Dolphin L and Dolphin S. They both fly extremely well and are well built. Price is right also. Eric Clapp is the FB rep and can give you more info on the mini. He has flown it.

This is my Dolphin S. Lands like the autoland button has been pushed, virtually hands off.

The Boomerang Elan flies well and is easy to see with no bad flight characteristics. I know they’ve been gone for awhile but they’re starting restock supplies now

CARF Joker ticks all the boxes, it’s becoming very popular here.

What about the GTS Havoc? I love the look of these but haven't read many flight reports. My M100 needs a home but I dont want anything with film on it.

Another option... Bought one of these at Best In The West, saw Baja Hobby flying the snot out of it and it looked like a good "every day jet". Have a JM VT80 and it's just about perfect for it. Comes as PNP for about $2k with HV servos. Haven't flown a whole lot since I got it, but going on 34 flights now. Flys pretty good. To be honest, I have both this and a CARF Ultra Flash. No doubt the Ultra Flash flys better, but they are different airplanes aren't they? I do like how this plane flys. Rolls well, has a good presence in the air, and is very predictable. I can take the Arowana with not much fuel in the jug and fly all day. Assembles easy, doesn't take up a lot of space, nothing else really in this price range. If price isn't a concern... I'd look at a Joker or Havoc, but the more I fly this thing, the more I like it. It really grows on you. I've got guys at the club now, who are ONLY interested in scale jets asking me more and more about it.

if it flies anything like the foamy version(and reliable sources say it does) then no thanks.
There is honestly nothing about the havok that entices me. Anyone that thinks the Havok flies awesome has never flown a Rebel...

I've been flying the T-Mini on a K-85 for over a year with over 100 flights. I still have other jet pilots comment on how well she flies. No bad characteristics; easily slowed down for landing; excellent construction and finish. Can't say enough about her.

https://pacificrcjets.com/collection...nt=37573171212

Also have a Havoc GTS on the way. I've talked to a couple guys who fly that airframe and it also has no bad characteristics. Check out some of the videos from 2019... sh'e s beast. Havoc is a well vetted airframe.
EA Havoc GTS

Good luck.

I have been told that the GTS need to keep the speed high on landing.....and was discouraged from a friend to actually get one.....might still do to replaced 2 older airframes. I do own a Havoc SS ready to fly....but because the flying fields are closed at present....

Interested in what you think after flying it....

Hey Dan! You know I've heard that, but also heard the opposite. Need to fly it myself for sure. I remember starting with the T1 Mini and everyone yelling about keeping the speed up. Some of my early videos, I almost run it off the runway I was landing so fast. Then 30-40 flights later it was dialed in and landing a lot slower. That is the plan with the GTS -- use the brakes more at the beginning, then dial it in and slow her down. Stay in touch with the SS. That's next on my radar.
