Yes I flew his F16 742 flights until a trainer took off when I was only guy flying and turned right into me head on. He took off downwind and we went nose to nose. It was a sad day

One of the class guys in the hobby. Outstanding designer and kit builder. I have had several of his kits throughout the years. Each one flew great and was simple to build. I still plug away on one of his Fouga kits and look forward to it flying sometime soon. I wish Philip the best in his retirement!

I hope someone buys his new F-15 tooling.. It's small by today's standards, but still one of the most accurate outline F-15s ever made, and they fly GREAT!

Very sad to hear this. Philip has produced some of the best designed, and best flying kits in the world. (His F-15 is legendary). Not to mention one of the nicest and most helpful guys in the hobby. I wish him all the best in his retirement, and hopefully someone will purchase the tooling and keep the Avonds line alive.
