I wasn´t happy with the tail servo installation and linkages. I decided to extend the horns in the tail as long as possible so I could minimize all slop and gain max resolution out of the servo.
Now it looks good (no it doesn´t..) and sure works much better. The only slop I now can get is from the servo upper bearing.. That could be minimized with an additional bearing support with an extension to servo horn.. Doable maybe.

I have to readjust the linkage lenght later.

Well I did some wiring today but I am getting lazy and more inclined to go skiing instead of building.

Basically only missing some wiring and installation of fuel system and cockpits. Then adjusting tx and doing all checks and its ready for taxi tests.

couple of full days building.

for your unilights question..l would not recommend buying a kit..take some time an pick the lites that you think will work best..l found myself that you can find a better fitting lite for every spot..they are the best lites you can't wrong..start with the 8 channel unit an build..in the end you'll have an awesome set up

Thanks for the advice. That's probably the round I will go. I already picked up a 120mm Unilights afterburner system for it. Hopefully it fits well.

The real T7 looks to have only landing lights and combined white strobe+ nav light in the wingtip. I fabricated my own, it was just too steep to pay 100€ for two lights.. I used 3W nav light and 3+3W white as strobo per side. Should work.
As for AB rings.. I have used those angel eyes cob rings. They work fine with some fiddling..

I did not realize that the angel eyes cob rings were a thing. I just found them on Amazon. That's a great idea. Hooked up to a small esc and a mixed to the throttle channel they should work great.

This is the best thing I've ever read on RCU.

I had to measure their current and voltage (COB rings) when I got them for my SU27 and then I just used a resistor and xicoy afterburner controller. Much cheaper and worked nice.

Some.. I test fit engine and installed blind nuts. All fuel tubing done. Cockpits test fitted but not installed. Weight is a bit downer. I got 23.5kg without cockpit and some batteries. Its 24.5kg with uat full , cockpit and batteries installed. And I saved 350g from fuel tank.

I only added some carbon stuff and fuselage joining system from CF tubes , so 19.5kg advertised empty weight is pretty far behind...

Well my 250N engine will fly it nice but some 180N os too little.

Funny that this just popped up..
basically mine is now ready for final adjustments of CG and going through the tx/rc stuff one more time.

Then its ready for taxi test as soon as snow melts.. still 50cm of snow on the rwy at least.

I Got my pilot. Its printed, emptied and painted. 230g total. Not bad for 1/4.5 sized. Also seats got some decoration. Good enuf for me. I will get a soda can into his hand later.

That looks pretty good. Do you happen to have the file for the pilot that you printed?
Thanks,
Tone

The landing gear looks very impressive and well machined.

...nope. We still got that white s**t on the ground and looks like the summer has been postponed... so I haven't been able to bring the plane out for taxi tests etc. Building done, balancing not yet.

Did you happen to balance the elevators? Do you feel that they need it? It will be another month before I see my kit unfortunately.
Thanks,
Tone
