Charge box are fairly easy to make.....just need a little of planning. My Dual PL8 revolectrix with a bump controller and a 48v power supply from Mean well

And this one is a single PL6 from Revolectrix with Bump controller and a 24v mean well power supply

regular 2 cell batteries you can get in the US online, but special configurations like my 3s2p are special order, and only the Czech site even mention them.

They are coming with our next battery order, we are adding new Jeti RB 10.8V (3S) 3100mah and 6200mAh battery packs.

We just added new Sliding Power Switches with incredibly low Standby Current: 0.05mAh (50 uA)
You can use our electronic switches as standard RC or even Ignition/ICU On/Off switch.

You can also make your own packs using Panasonic NCR 18650 B 3400mAh 3.7v FLAT TOP Lithium Li-Ion cells for instance and then getting the Li-ion balance boards and they are very simple to wire up.

Regards,

10.8v? Are these actually li-ions that MUST be charged to 4.1v peak? What is their c rating? Swiwin turbines require a 3s lipo. They will run on LiFe, but prefer 11+ volts continuous. I'm hoping these ~12C rated 2600A li-ions paralleled up to 5200mah will be able to handle my sw220b in its sleep.

If you can get the 3s2p 2600A packs like I ordered direct I may be interested in a backup...

So, I went to pick up my new turbine this weekend and brought my ammeter with me to see what kind of current a battery must endure during start, cool, and full power on an SW220B brushless turbine. I was quite surprised that the max amps I saw was around 5 amps during start-up. Max power was only around 2-2.5 amps, and cooling only around 3.5-4 amps. I'm sure the li-ion will handle this no problem.

I would also like confirmation on charge voltage and C rating. Like I mentioned the labels that came on the packs said 7.2v not 7.4. LiPo vs LiIon setting on my charger..

I initially used the Li-Ion charger setting, but noticed that I couldn't get full capacity on a discharge. I was then advised to use the Li-Po charger settings and this allowed a full charge. Internal circuitry in the battery pack protects from overcharge. Charge them like a Li-Po, but without having to balance charge them, or discharge them for storage.

Got mine and initially had a ***** if a time getting them to charge. Finally I figured out how to turn off the balance tab on my chargers and then it worked. Now if I could just get my jet......

These are very good packs but there is NO internal balance, overcharge, or over discharge protection. The individual cells do feature an internal fuse that provides some protection in case of a shorted cell.

can't speak for Fromeco. They are old tech these days. Their 4800-5200 packs were only rated for like 8-10 amps continuous, and even at that they would drop down to like 6.9 volts.
Jeti are for sure meant to charge using the lipo setting, and the discharge chart for the 2600A cells shows them averaging over 3.5v/cell at like 20 amps continuous.

I was talking about Jeti LiIons not Fromeco.

Did you generate the chart or get it from somewhere?

If you are talking about charge setting I read it on one of the Jeti or Jeti dealer sites(might have been espirit). I also know it from reading about, building and using these new high discharge li-ion cells to power small FPV drones.

Received my 3s2p 2600A battery pack from Jeti in the Czech republic. It only weighs 10 ounces, which is light for a 35+lb jet. I also checked amps during all phases of running on this SW220B turbine and the highest amps observed were only 5 amps, and that's only during start-up. Average consumption is only around 2.5 amps. This Li-ion should do the trick nicely!
