Sorry ( NOT 🤪 )

He's going to love it!

There is a nice little group of us up here who can make sure his move is as smooth as possible.

Moving forward, learning to program my first logical switch, it is been used in conjunction with the accelerometer in the Y axis to announce the remaining flight time when tild forward, the logical switch is using the retract switch to turn it on and off, when the gear is down the logical switch is off and on when gear is up, this prevents any announcements before the gear goes up on TO.

Thanks to my friend Raffy for showing me how to set it up, I have added the L switch to my other two jets.

You at first will have a little struggle with programming. But once you understand it, you will not understand why you did not pull the trigger sooner.

Ok, moving forward with the learning how to, I want now to deploy the first notch of flaps down together with the gear, I've been studying how I manage the gear and first notch of flaps and concluded that I drop the gear first then flaps right away, with this info I can see that I can save myself a step by programing both to be activated with the same switch ( flaps switch I think ) and also keep using the gyro assist in that position.

I have an idea on how to but someone may have a best way how to make the program, do I use a mix, flight mode or logic switch?

Tks.

Personally my idea is to not do that at all. I always want independent control of such functions as there are just too many things that can happen such as a flame out where I'm going to need to land off field and I want flaps until the last second to lose as much speed as possible but want the gear retracted. Or the wind picks up and I decide it's best to land without any flaps, etc. Granted, the vast majority of the time it would be no problem but to not have those options if needed sounds like a bad idea to me.

I agree with Wayne, keep them separate.

I hear you guys, I will keep them as they are now ( separate ) and will keep playing with the gear and first notch of flaps during TO andslow flight.

Thank you for the recommendations.

Since I made the cross over to Jeti I've talked to 3 friends that were considering a new radio and were curious about my new radio and how I felt about the Jeti system, well, they sure got an ear full of how awesome this system is, one already cross over and has his new DS12 Carbon radio waiting at home, the other two are considering it but are concerned about how difficult it may be to change, give me another month and they will be ordering a Jeti radio 🤣 soon.

Continuing with the Jeti learning, adding this time a sequencer to control the smoke pump to create pulses, this involves one sequencer, two logical switches and a 3 position switch.

The curve that I made is slightly different than the one created on the first sequencer, I wanted more dots in my curve, it's all explained in one of Harry's videos that was released recently.

Report
On my first flight I turned on the smoke pump, always on was good, with the sequencer on, the pump started to do as told by the program but after a few seconds it went to always on on its own then it was on in all three switch positions, I couldn't turn it off so, I landed right away before running out of smoke fluid to save the pump.

Now the pump turns on as soon as when I plug the ECU batt (the ECU and pump are shearing the same LIPO batt ) I suspect the speed controller on the pump is done with.

I will add a new controller this week and give a go to the program again.

Do these simply replace the current knobs or are they used in conjunction with a different pot that has a center detent?

Ok, a report from the Jeti newbie.

I swapped the spring loaded switch that I used for the smoke pump for a 3 position one but I didn't like it and the spring loaded one is back in place, I was about to try the sequencer on the smoke pump but it just didn't cooperated and I ended up smoking one if my TJ smoke pumps
The switch that I'm using for the brakes has been working just fine ( upper inner right long one ) by now it feels natural to flip it right after landing and I don't miss the sliders at all.
