Skymaster 1/6 F-18F or BVM 1/5.5 F-18C?
So I'm all ready to pull the trigger on a SM 1/6 F-18F in the Royal Maces scheme. But I've had a couple people suggest the BVM/JL over there SM. What are the benefits of one over the other? Anyone have any experience with both? Is it Ford vs Chevy or is the BVM really a better airframe?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Um if you like the C I HIGHLY recommend the BVM, I would ditch mine in a heart beat if BVM had an F model! By far the worst model I have bought to date, and I have owned 3 FEJ models.

Well after my experience with the skymaster F18 I would highly recommend the BVM. I dont really want to make a long bashing post but you can go back to my F18 build thread and see how that ended. So many issues with that plane. Also they don't seem to last long. I have seen or herd of many already in the ground.
BVM is super light it comes with working lights... What a concept and the canopy mechanism wont be installed upside down leaving you trying to figure it out for a week. Or how about the air system will be plumbed correctly or the engine mounts aligned the right way..

I went with the 1/5.5 C because of all of the videos I’ve watched on them. SkyMasters look fast, but heavy & not too nimble. The BV F-18F looks awesome with a great lighting system, but the big BV C model appears to fly very easy, light & nimble. Honestly it looks like the best flying F-18 I’ve ever seen, & I’m guessing it has the lightest wing loading of any F-18 model mass produced yet.
