Default 38th Greater Southwest Jet Rally - Waco TX 9/10 - 9/12

Just received word from the president of the Waco club (HOTMAC) the mayor of Waco TX has extended the emergency declaration and as a result the 38th Greater Southwest has been cancelled.

I really didn't think the paranoia was going to infect Waco... I guess I was wrong...
Better safe than sorry, I guess.

Mongo,
Paranoia!
Perhaps a visit to one of the families that has lost a parent, child, cousin, brother, or sister to this dammed infection would enlighten you to the reality of our world.
The Mayor in your town is looking after your best interest, and those of your colleagues!
Get your head out of the sand.

Gentlemen,
This forum is aptly titled "RC Jets." It is not titled "Covid experts" or "political complaining" or "Trump fans unite" or "Whine, moan and complain."
This forum is focused on discussing RC jet and jet events. Take the medical advice and personal judgments and political agendas someplace else. It's not welcome here.

It absolutely stinks that events have been cancelled. I've lost some too that I looked forward to. But city and county leadership has to make the best decisions they can with the information they have. I got over it. you should too. You can play with your toy airplanes some other time.

If I see further disrespect in this thread I'll be speaking to RCKen about vacations for the offenders. Be civilized and stay on topic.

You made it political as soon as you mentioned President Trump.

I think the Byron Kfir at the beginning was mine. Crashed it due to flutter. My son waddled up and said Daddy can we go home now?

I got into the hobby in 1985. I think my first GSW was 1989.
