It's all to do with teaming multiple unmanned aircraft together. Not close formation flying, but tactically useful mutual support profiles. There's another video out there showing more that I'll look for.

All part of their Loyal Wingman program.

The Kratos XQ-58 Valkyrie is the opposition to the Wingman and they have a pretty slick airframe.



They are way ahead in production and flight testing.

It would be interesting to see how Boeing spec'd the set ups, engines, receivers, servos, retracts, linkages, wires, connectors etc.
