Default MIBO Swift with Xicoy x45 Build

Next project has arrived! It's a MIBO Swift to be powered by a Xicoy X45 Turbine.
Retractable wheel.
Should be a HOOT!

Is this the 3.2m version?
I have the 2.5m version and it is a very nice sailplane. I fly it on the slopes. I had a motor and folding propeller but took them off because I'll never flat land it.
I've built a bunch of molded sailplanes. This one is easy. Loads of room to work with.
When you bond to the inside of the fuselage make sure you scuff it up good and clean the crap out of it. I thought I did it good enough, yet my battery tray popped on a rough landing. Landing at a slope is really just a controlled crash into rough surfaces!

I'd save the X12's for something else and put 20mm servos in the fuselage. The X12's are great servos, but the tray is cut for full sized ones and you need the nose weight.

NICE! Not sure of the size. I believe it's the 2.5 size but i'll confirm once I get into it. Thanks for the tips! I appreciate it!

Looking forward to seeing a video. I fly aero tow with these type of planes and love the idea of having crazy power to go back up or do fast maneuvers.

Thanks Mark.
I think it will be a hoot!
I kind of see it as 1. get up and have a fun flight with turbine power for the whole flight. 2. get it up to altitude and turn the turbine off. Float around for a while and then restart.
Anyways, looking forward to it as well!

Not sure of the specific angle we set this one too. It did need to get adjusted afterwards.
The owner has since sold the aircraft and the new owner installed a high performance retracting fan unit! Very slick!

My new project is a Stingray 3800 with a Xicoy x90 turbine.
I'm looking for basic settings on how to mount the engine, I have no experience with a turbine.
