Default AIM-7 Sparrow/ Other Missile Interest

Hello All,
Looking around and I don't see too many options for an AIM-7 missile... How many of you would be interested in a very scale AIM-7 kit if I were to make one?

If not an AIM-7, which missile would you like to see produced next?

Thanks!
Spencer

Spencer,

I posted in the other thread, but how about sidewinders for 1/9.5 scale?

I have rails for this one, but I need the Sidewinders to fit...

Actually, a couple of Sparrows at that scale would be cool too. I have a set that were for the BVM F-4, but they are too big and too heavy...

Hey bob,
After thinking about it I could do 9.5/1 sidewinders- I just won’t be able to supply the tubes. How does that sound?

I’ll take 2 1:5 Maverick’s for my A-10. What’s the price?

Rav, MIBO offer the AMG-65 for the A-10, and include the launch rail to mount it to the pylon. Iím currently helping a buddy load up his MIBO A-10 pylons. We are adding a pair of Mavericks, pair of rocket pods, the ALQ-131, 4 sets of triple ejector racks (TERís) with Mk82ís on each one (total of 12), and lastly Iím working on upgrading one of the Mk82ís as a snake-eye. The MIBO parts are nicely made and Iíve been adding some extra 3D printed parts to increase the level of details. Iíll post some pics in a fresh thread when finished (about a week or so).

Spencer, check out McMaster Carr tubes under the category ĎGarolite tubesí. Itís what I use for my Strictly Scale sidewinders and AIS/TCTS pods in multiple scales.

Thanks Sean. I buy my tubes in bulk so it’s cost prohibitive to provide tubes of every scale, but that’s a great option for Bob as I can print in any scale! Another is ASP rocketry supply where tubes of many sizes can be found.

Ravill: I will be doing Mavericks in the near future, as I have a mibo kit myself I need to build. Making loadouts on the A-10 will be fun! Let me figure out the materials required and I’ll figure out a price.👍

Just make sure you redraw the ID or OD of your part to match the tube, as the wall thickness of the tube will change those, they canít simply be scaled. At least that is what i find, you can scale to match the OD, then just redraw the ID correctly before printing.

I hope to be needing a pair of R-73s at 1/6 scale, if you have tubes that might support it. I suspect tubes are the limiting factor. You could use them for your MiG-29 eventually.

If you have a MiBo A-10, that model is a playground for weapons types that could keep you busy for a while doing it's loadouts...
