Bob,
I thought mine was working correctly. I think I was at 100% but will check. I have not got my nose gear back in yet. I will let you know.
I think I remember reading somewhere that Jeti travel was more than other radio systems. Don't remember the numbers though.

As an example if driving a Aura Gyro you reduce the Tx output to 80% to have the same travel that a Spectrum or Futaba tx. Since most in China use Futaba. And where the Assan is made. Im thinking having 100% on Jeti is beyond the range that the Assan recognizes for the programming steps.
otherwise it works fine.
otherwise it works fine.

Gary have you setup the Ag 63 installed in this model? I too fly Jeti and installed one on my JP gear equipped model. I was not able to get the auto config feature work.
I have the unit working correctly and helped a friend do the same. In order to have the gyro move the steering servo to compensate correctly he had to reduce the end points to 80%.
look forward to your response.

I got my nose gear reinstalled today. I checked my NG settings and I had +/- 100% set from the initial setup. It took the first programming attempt and was working correctly back when I first did it. I have now reduced my throw limits to +/- 80% and rechecked it. The gyro is still commanding the correct direction for yaw steering corrections. I roll tested it several times on the shop floor and it rolls dead straight. That's a good sign as I know my nose wheel is not perfectly straight as I just eyeballed it close. So I am assuming the gyro is providing correct yaw steering commands to keep the roll straight. It seems to have a lot of gain when doing the nose swing test but I understand that is normal. I hope to test fly next week. My brakes are now much stronger on the 3S battery. I'll report back after flying.

My F-16 XL Went Flying Again!
Preflight checklist. Jet flew well and validated all the repair work and new equipment installs. Everything worked well including the airspeed sensor. Unfortunately I had to cut the day short after only one flight after I got a call for an emergency in our neighborhood.
WIth the turbine started and ready to taxi, my buddy says "Get a picture!" Ok done!. I taxied to the takeoff position and I was amazed at how straight the jet taxied. The steering gyro really works well. Takeoff required very little steering correction. I was very happy with it.

Got lucky on landing. I lost sight during round out and flare due to the low light from the grey overcast, dark background in trees, and sunglasses. As I have said many times, "I'd rather be lucky than good any day!" Anyway we survived to fight again. The brakes are now much more effective on 3S battery power. The jet flies great and I'm looking forward to flying it again when I can get several sorties back to back.

Wing strength
I'd like to address the major over reaction about the wing mounts on this jet . I have 10hrs on this airframe now and around 60 flights I don't not fly it gental. My jet is unmodified and still rock solid. In fact I am about to order a TV pipe for it ! . So for the guys who where stating this is an unsafe aircraft with out any hands on experience . Please stick to your day jobs .

i have a sw 190 for mine, but i also have a sw 140, that i am considering trying, after getting it dialed in with the 190. just so i can have the options later.
add in
every place i fly, is pavement. used to fly from grass decades ago, in the early 60s, when we first did a runway at benbrook for the fort worth thunderbirds club. i cant even imagine trying to fly from grass anymore, at least what pass for grass out here in the wild west.
usually just getting off the paved surface here will rip the gear out of a taxiing model, let alone one moving fast.

I think the 190 will be great. Interested to see how a 140 would do.
I flew at Thunderbirds Benbrook from 93-96 when I was stationed at Lockheed FW Carswell. I have never seen the new site except in photos.

I have finally gotten all the parts and pieces I need to finish, My fuel tank came in todays mail. I tried to make one but it did not turn out so good, very heavy. So a friend made one for me, Raiko Potter, he was very busy with work and a new house. But he took time to make a tank for me. Now that he has a mold other can be made must faster. So with a hurrican on it way I will lock my self in the garage and work on jets.

Almost there!, Got some work done in the last few days because of the rain, hope all lmy firends in the path of Ida are safe. Just need to do some touch up paint and a lot of adjustments. Just a WAG it should be arount 35# dry. Going to replace the main gear door servos, they will not hold end points, and jump around on opeing and closing the doors, the doors do not fit up against the fuse that great so I am going to add some magnets to keep the door tight.
