BVM T-33 Build
#52

I have started masking for the strips on the T33. This one is a little more involved, I made a template out of tape so I can match the left and right side. All the strips will be masked. The red areas get covered, I will spray the blue then cover the blue and expose the Red areas for spraying. The antiglare areas will be done last.

Not to nitpick but if it's not too late, your masking on the fin has too much curve and doesn't come down low enough on the leading edge of the fin. On the full scale the bottom edge of the blue stripe almost flows right into the curve of the lower part of the fin. The line that curves up towards the leading edge (molded line) also shows on the full scale that the front point of the red and blue stripes end below the point on the leading edge where that molded curve meets the edge.
Its a lot of work to mask, I hate masking, and what you've done looks great but the fin and the left side of the masking on nose of the fuselage (right side looking head on) are the two things that really jump out. There is a funny wobble on the nose on the left side of the fuse (cockpit view left)

I have been moving forward on the T33. The red has been sprayed on and I started to unmask it. I have some areas that will need brush touch up near panel lines but nothing to bad. Next will be the lettering then clear coat. After the clear I will mask it off for the anti glare areas.

HI, I'm a little late to the party but I do have a question.
I have a BVM F-80 I bought 9? years ago. Since the Recommended JR servos are no longer available what servos are you using for your T-33? I think they would work just fine of the F-80 as well.
Thank you in advance.

Several of you have mentioned putting in crow for landing. Are you flying the earlier model with the under camber in front of the speed doors that others have mentioned. If so I may not need the crow as I have the newer design without the under camber.
Hear are a few more pictures. Its getting closer to maiden, should be in about a week or two.
