In the picture posted above it just looks like they are on a taxi way and the trees look really close. Just could not understand why they would put the barriers on the main runway and not in the grass?

Okay before yet another thread gets trolled, the stations are not on the runway but the taxi way and the picture is misleading, the trees are further away than the last location. People need to stop sky coping the event. Anyone can easily google map this location with the last to see things. The area you fly here in my opinion is nicer than the last less obstacles runway seems a bit wider as well.
so far its going great.

Not a troll here as you know! I did indeed look at google earth to try and see where this picture was from because that picture did not look like the main runway and is misleading. I know it will be a great event like Kentucky Jets is always and will be there early Friday to enjoy it.

Keep the pictures coming!

See you there.
Gene

Sorry worded that badly, I was referring to another person that ruined the other thread. This airport if not as busy from the looks of it as the other for GA. A lot more food and hotels just outside the airport, but most close at 9 just like the last location.

How is the new setup working? Some people complained about that they have no parking and there is a mess with loading and moving the jets and trucks with trailers, will someone post a picture of the reality situation.

Here's a picture that Marvin took of the setup on Monday, I think.

The major issue is that trailer parking is a bit tight. parking for the trailers is on the taxiway as you can see. A lot of the attendees have more trailers than will fit in front of their tent slots. That pushes the trailers of the guys that are further from the center further from their tent slots.

If you recall, trailer parking was a bit of an issue at the old site as well...

Lewis is working hard to get everyone situated as conveniently as possible. As you can see, the sight accommodates more pilots with a better view of the flight line than the old site.

To be honest this looks ,, difficult to describe,, looks like there no way of having a trailer-van right where your tent slot is?so just drop your stuff and go look for a place to park, that will be a lots of walking around, Im bringing my Segway-Ninebot just in case I need a something from my van.

That is so green. What a nice place to fly. Looks to be about 50 vehicles there.

Sysiek

In one of Lewis' earlier post, the tents at the "above" the taxiway/pilot stations are the pilots tent. the intent is to park you trailer across the taxiway from your tent, so not a long walk

Im pretty sure that you guys do everything possible to make it right and convenient for the pilots, somebody told me that the should be boxes marked for trailer right a cross of the tent spot with the spot number that will make everything easier for everyone, so if you have one spot one parking spot but if you have 3 tent spots than 3 parking spaces and only the person who rent the spots has a right to park there or let someone from his group to park there or let someone to have the spot, this is what I heard from someone whos already there and has a difficult time to manage his stuff, there will be more pilots including me tomorrow and Friday this will run out to be difficult time to manage all the parking spaces.

Looks like a great place to fly imo. Its not a big deal to pull up to your tent, unload everything and go find a place to park? most events i attend are like that.

honestly for an event this size, this looks pretty awesome! Deland, FlJets, Superman, etc over the years, you would be lucky to unload and park anywhere close. And if someone parks opposite your tent, you will probably have a new friend in the jet community!

Also the pilot stations look substantial! much safer than the plastic construction fencing.
