Default Booma RC Lights? Anyone have experience?

I am looking for just landing gear leg lights for my Ultra Flash, and the Booma seem interesting but I don't know anyone who has used them.

Easy to use?
Controller work well?
Decent size on controller?
How did you power them? There are several options.

Thanks!

I just got the Viper Jet system. It seems to be quality and works , I am at the install stage,( one wing done) and they are easy to figure out, lots of options for flashing, strobes, beacon, bright enough that you don't want to look at them while they are on. The controller works well and about 1 1/2"x 2 1/2", I am using a 2s 2200 lipo but you can use a 3s. I would buy them again.

I use them on several of my jets. I do not use their controller, just a simple GT Power switch as I mainly just use the lights for navigation and landing. If you use the lights without a controller they are extremely dim on 2s. However, on 3s they are super bright and hard to look at directly. I was using a small 3s pack to power then but recently started using a small step up converter from Amazon. It only weighs 8 grams and I can plug it into my 2s powered Smoothflight and output output 12 volts to the lights. In conclusion, lights work great.
