FJ had another successful event. Now it’s time to make plans for the 30th Mississippi Afterburner April 21-23. From the preregistrations and tent reservations, it’s shaping up to be another good one. Remember this is a fundraiser for the aviation department of the school who owns the airport we use. You/we established this fund to keep students in school who financially may not be able to do so. So we’re doing good and having fun too. Contact me on tents. Get your preregistrations in using the website above. Contact Dawn for hotel reservations.
Bill will be able to bring his Mig17 again this year. The trip here is worth it just for that. We will be raffling a Kingtech turbine this year again thanks to Barry. Lots more to talk about shortly.

I think everyone knows about the Saturday night dinner with catfish, brisket, 200 lbs of crawfish and the homemade ice cream and cobblers. But don’t forget about breakfast Friday and Saturday prepared by the famous cooks of Dawn, Bob-O Covish and Bob Price. Pancakes, bacon and eggs.

Mississippi Afterburner update.
Want to say thanks for the support of:
Joey Tomaz
Victor Diaz
Micro Fasteners
John and Daniel Mosley
Also more good news. John and Daniel have been the premier Automotive Body shops in central Mississippi area forever. Now they have expanded their business to painting full scale aircraft. They have built a hanger for that at our airport. They always have something interesting in the hanger. The good news is they own a full scale TBM Avenger in pristine condition they keep at the hanger. They plan on displaying it basically across from our tents and maybe do a few passes with it during the event. Nice!
We have more tent orders than ever. Get with me NOW if you want one. Also go to Mississippijets.org and get your preregistration form and send it to me. It’s gonna be great for our 30th Mississippi Afterburner.

It has been a fabulous event so far the winds have been higher than forecasted but they’re right down the runway not an issue well may be a little quartering but not a big deal. If you’re not here you’re missing a fabulous time.
looking forward to a lot more flying Saturday and the awards dinner.
thank you Vernon, Michelle and all the other people that have made this event a great time
