Today Is the Deadline for Ordering Tents guys!
No exceptions, No extensions!!! I have to submit the order list to my tent vendor tonight. I'll be accepting orders until 5 PM EST.
Pre event Pilot Registration will still be open until may 23rd. Anyone wishing to register at the event can do so. Same price, no increased fee.
Couple of things to keep in mind. Its is advisable for all pilots to insure they have their FAA registration numbers located somewhere on the models!
Anyone flying models 55 pounds or greater need to have their waiver documentation on hand. As always, we will have qualified inspectors on hand for those needing to have inspections/documentation performed.
Pilots should be able to begin setting up under their tents around noon time Tuesday, as soon as the fire marshal completes his inspection. If we get inspected and passed before then, we'll allow folks under tents earlier that that time.
Its looking to be another great event. New Vendors. New Sponsors. New names on the pilot list. City of Wilson is excited to have you all back.
See Ya Soon!!

I have my Flickr album of photos ready from FIF. They are not downloadable; please do not screenshot photos (if you see any you'd like for personal use, send me a PM with the file number(s) and your email and I'll gladly send it to you). I only ask that you leave my watermark on and/or give me credit for photos, and please ask permission to use outside of sharing on social media (such as promotion or advertising). Thanks, and enjoy!

Quick follow up to this year's event guys. First, we would like to thank ALL of the pilots and attendees who came out and made this another GREAT event. It was probably the safest and most well running event we ever had. Pilots on the flight line were absolutely AWESOME, and truly made things flow so smoothly. The numbered Flight station/Start up board method is definitely the ticket! Weather played its part is delaying us a bit on Friday. but we still managed to get in 5 fantastic days of flying. Can't say enough about how blessed Josh and I are for having such a great team of FIF staff members. These guys give up a lot of their personal time to make this event happen, and they do because they love having you all attend our event. Huge thanks as always goes out to Gronna Jones and the City of Wilson. We had some last moment hick-ups with regard to equipment needs, but with one phone call, Gronna had us back in great shape. As with most events this year, pilot numbers were down a bit, but not much. But you wouldn't know it to see the activity on the flight line. All in all, it was a fantastic event, and we're so grateful to all those that helped make it happen. Plans are already in the making for next year's event. Also, we want to send out a big congratulations to all the award recipients at this year's FIF. ALL were very deserving. Thank you Dreamworks for sponsoring the 5 category awards! A huge Thank You to all of our many gracious sponsors. FIF picked up a few new ones this year, and we're thrilled to have you join us. Banana Hobby, Futaba, Jersey Modeler, RTL , BSI and CycleMax. Please take time to thank any and all of the sponsors when you see them at another event, or talk to them in the future. They help take this event to a higher level each year.

Gary, how else do you think I get the muscles to lug all of Greg's jets back and forth to the hangar? (Thank you! You know I wouldn't stand out there and take thousands of photos if I did enjoy it and all of the pilots!)

And if Greg shows up next year with another big F-18 (and a bigger trailer to fit it in), this is why! Fort Wayne Airshow this past weekend with the West Coast Rhino F-18 Demo Team.
