Default Aluminum servo arms

SWB has been my choice for servo arms for some time. However, now that SWB is out of business, what servo arms is everyone using for their jets? I saw some of the Secraft ones but I am not crazy about the hole in the middle of know how strong they are.
Thanks,
Tone

I would think they would be fine because you’re pushing and pulling in a straight line so you should have compression and tension just like if you put weight on a hollow tube vs a solid rod the hollow tube will bend less than a solid rod

I have been using both the MKS arms with the carbon (they make them for smaller hubs) and also the arms from Electron.

Like DW said there’s different secraft arm….the one with the hole in the middle are normally for 2mm ball link…

I used the secraft a lot, Some MKS on the bigger servo like 380 and 3850 ect, and JR and Extreme Flight are nice as well…

I was also using SWB before…

Electron makes some really nice-looking servo arms.

So 25T splines have become the industry standard…but the actual diameter of the splined shaft varies from brand to brand. Also the tooth profile. This is why clamp arms are made to allow some flexibility. The Electron arms are amazing quality and they worked at a new way of cutting the splines over normal broaching. But they still need checking on your choice of servo.
Stay away from Savox metal clamp arms, they are brittle and made of the worst Chinese metal.
I tend to keep SECRAFT, Intairco, Hacker and I have a ‘stash’ of arms from Graupner, Horizon and other U.K. suppliers in my workshop. As said most Amazon arms are junk..but even distributers have junk in their ranges. I tend to buy one extra of unknown types and test them with wire cutters/vice. Some are made from ‘’ Cheese” I tested an Amazon arm a customer bought and I could cut it in half with electrical side cutters!!

while I love their retract on 99% of my jets….I tried their 3mm Ball Link (r/h-l/h) over the winter and I was disappointed….I should talk to Adrián about this, but it might be the Linkage not the ball-link since I don’t know……I just take it as a lost..I would be curious if anyone has tried that combo..

I have that combo but my Rebel Max isn't here yet so I have not installed/flown it. The ball links look stout so I hope they hold up well. I will probabl use with Ti Turnbuckles.

I have some PSP around (they are out of business) but you can find Lunsford and others but you have to buy more of them sometimes

I used to use SWB for everything as well.

The Electron Arms look really good and I wouldn’t mind giving them a try on my next build.

I’ve used the arms that Pacific RC Jets sells on my last two builds and they are pretty nice. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

I’ve also used the black Hangar 9 arms and they are ok and I haven’t had any issues with them but I have seen other people bend them.
