Yep!
Give me a few days to get through them and I should have some up in my Flickr photo gallery and other social media. I know Buck was doing double duty this year and didn’t have his camera out as much as in the past.

Buck was doing a great job staging planes when things got busy. Anyone watching from outside the controlled chaos should have been impressed how smoothly things went. This was one of the best run KJ's I've been lucky to attend. Thanks goes out to Lewis, Marvin, Buck and all those who worked tirelessly to make this event run like a well oiled machine.

This was by far our best JOK EVER! I'll provide a wrap when recovered from the week.

JOK was a pleasure to attend this year. The weather was fantastic all week except a rain shower one afternoon that went away after an hour or so. The flight line was organized in a way that handled the flow smoothly. Each pilot station was numbered 1-6 with corresponding start up stations and staging areas. Then, as a pilot called gear pass, their spotter would press a button activating a button on an mounted LED flashing light to notify the pilot waiting to start up to begin start sequence. Corresponding wait stations located across each stating stating station reserved those spots allowing the next pilot to enter the starting station. All pilots had to be fueled up and ready to go before being allowed to enter the starting area preventing delays. This method really made for an efficiently run flight line where no one was fighting for the same pilot station. Well done Lewis!
Johnnie and I will definitely be back next year! We had a great time seeing all of our wonderful friends!

Good morning!
Here is the link to my photos from JOK on Flickr. They aren't downloadable, but if you see one (or more) that you'd like to have for personal use, feel free to send me a message with the file number and your email and I'll send them by Dropbox for you to download to your computer.
Lewis, thank you to you and all of your volunteers for your hard work and making this a well-run event. And thank you for making sure your rain dance worked this year!

Crazy amount of great pics Jenni............Whats more Marvin called a hold, taxi, taking off, 2 minutes, gear pass, landing, landing number, down wind, base, and final for all those flights in those pictures and the ones not pictured. Plus some rudder, land short, hold the center line, back taxi on the edge calls.

I'm confused by what seems to be two contradictory statements above.
If this is true:
Then how was this possible?
If there was an approved waiver (as second sentence would indicate), I guess it would be available via FOIA?
As to being considered as part of the 2023 FAA Reauthorization, that's good. That tells me that it's going through the legislative process which means the right other stakeholders (AOPA, ALPA, DoD, DHS, other LEOs, and others) will be able to be part of the conversation. It's good that it'll be worked at the right level among the folks who should be in on that final language of the law.
