Default Jet-tronic brake valve questions

I inherited a TH 2m viper jet that use this valve to activate the brakes. I’ve done a reset on the break valve and have programmed it per the instructions but it is still pretty much on or off.

My questions are should I check the brake unit for Grease For a Proportional application of the brakes?

should there be a large loop of airline to make the brakes more proportional?

Which valve? I guess single M valve with nature of model, so it’s on off…or you can have it pulsing…but it needs a huge air tank if you go that option.
On off and grease.
If it’s a zero loss brake valve (square and looks like a two way retract valve it needs a 2m loop of tube.

Zero loss. Does it say brake on the valve? If so it needs a long loop of tube. So it should machine gun and then go solid light.

You only need around 60psi with that valve…

Good to know, I added 1.5m to the output side in a 4” coil as that is all the 3mm festo tubing I had. Hopefully that will do the trick it should at least improve the braking

Bob, I had one on the kingcat.. it took 1.5 meters of 3mm to get it to act right.. in a coil under the tray stuffed. so sounds like you are on track. I might still have a spare if you need it to sometime.. I have only one plane with air and it has a BVM 2 purple unit. However I did polish the drum with 0000 steel wool and an occasional Parker lube to keep them smooth.. this was a few years ago.. I installed one at an event when my smooth stop 1 failed before the days of SS2.
